I wasn't quite sure where to ask this so I thought I try posting in on these forums. Whenever I try and comment on a video on Youtube while signed in I get the window above popping up.

Also when I try and click on the Notifications icon it says "Please sign in to view your notifications" when I am already signed in! I click on "Sign in" and nothing happens. I have tried signing in and out again but the problem is persisting. I have only just started having this issue and I've never had it before. Does anyone know a way round this?

Thank you.

Sounds like malware. Run Malware Bytes (or another malware software) and see if that fixes the problem.

Grr I have tried everything: signing out and back in again, resetting Chrome, running Malware scan, virus scan, CCleaner etc but I still have the problem. I have posted in the Google forums too but nobody has replied there. Are there any other suggestions to what I can do?

Have you tried contacting YouTube with the error?

It still looks like either a virus or malware to me. What worries me is that you "clicked" inside the box, which may have done more damage than good. If you can't find anything on the net about this problem, then maybe it is just related to the site. You can't be the only one getting the error. Hang in there, someone will respond (hopefully)

Youtube is a problem in itself.

Hmm well interestingly it works fine with Internet Explorer and Firefox, so maybe it's just an issue with Google Chrome. Maybe I should just switch browser for using Youtube for the moment as that seems to get round the issue.

Dang kids bickering about the Youtubes.

When I was your age, I was waiting for a StickDeath video to load on a 28.8k modem.

Haha I'm not that young, I'm 23. I remember the days before online videos and dial-up modems :)

  1. Go to Chrome browser settings chrome://settings

  2. then go to Privacy

  3. Then, from Privacy, click on Content settings button.

  4. Now, on Cookies options, untick "Block third-party cookies and site data".

  5. Then click done, and go back to Youtube and refresh the page using CTRL + F5 keys.

Problem Solved ;) ..

Apparently you're not the first person to have problems with Youtube and Chrome today...I'm also using Chrome and my YT is fine, but maybe there is something going on =)
