Recently I read the Grishaverse duology, Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom which I highly recommend for a fun read that goes by at a fast clip. It follows six people who live in what's perhaps the worst city in the world (their world that is) and the tells you about the grime and muck they've had to crawl through as well as what they are doing now in that shithole of a city to get both money and power. It's very much worth a read.
