Poll Your favorite Streaming service right now? (13 votes)

Netflix 54%
Disney+ 23%
Hulu 0%
HBO Max 15%
CBS All Access 0%
Peacock 0%
Amazon Prime 8%

I think I might start one I was thinking of Hulu (has cowboy bebop anime and some cool stuff) or HBO Max (Ghibli films and animated DC movies an stuff) or maybe Disney + for mandalorian an Star Wars / marvel stuff.

Just wondering what one you guys are really into right now.

Disney+ for sure.

UK Netflix specifically is pretty garbage. Mainly watch it for crime docs and Star Trek.

Aside from that Disney+ is cheaper. The downside is that it's mostly family oriented content. But it's original content Clone Wars, Mandalore and original movies like Togo well exceed Netflix' original content.

But it's not really been around long, prices change.

Legit sometimes forget I have Prime. It's probably the poorest of the lot, but like me, sure people sign up for the delivery service first and foremost.

@uninspiredcup: what makes UK Netflix so poor? Selection?

I know there are region issues but I thought the service would be maybe 95% the same unless you lived in like Saudi Arabia or something.

Speaking of Trek, did you watch Picard? Opinion? I personally loved it but iirc you are the serious Star Trek connoisseur

*my answer is HBO Max; been watching a lot of that lately. Prior to that I'd say Amazon Prime....would still be my answer if I could get HBO Max through it but Time Warner is dicking around with their app availability.

Most of the US selection isn't there, think it's because of Sky basically getting all the properties they want. So what you're left with is a very bare bones service with a premium price tag.

Like, you can sign up for a VPN, but the fact you have to in the first place is bullshit and money on top of the sub.

Absolutely hate new Star Trek lol
Think it's an abomination.

Probably Netflix I'd say, mostly for all the Netflix originals.

Netflix. They really need to step it up though. It's almost the same price as Amazon Prime and Disney+, combined. I'm sure I would enjoy HBO Max but no luck here for us Snow Mexicans.

Netfli/Hulu, I guess. Watch more YouTube or on demand stuff, though.

I have Prime, Netflix, Hulu, VRV (a shared service including Boomerang, Crunchyroll, Nicksplat, Rooster Teeth, and a few others), and Shudder.

I spend more time on Netflix than any other but I like most of the services I pay for. Disney+ has some good stuff but too few things for me to watch to take on yet another service. CBS All Access is good but I'm annoyed that there's no completely commercial free offering.

Ryan Reynolds new streaming service is pretty good. It's certainly the most affordable.

Disney+ is the only one I've tried that actually has good video quality. Not interested in subscribing past my expired free trial, though. Netflix and Vudu look awful on the same internet connection. Netlix used to look okay. I rarely use it now. Just once in 2020, for the movie Klaus. I'm sure it's something between them and my ISP, Comcast.

Does YouTube count? if so that's my choice I'm pretty much burned out on movies and tv shows.

Netflix US still has it. Not so much in recent-run theatricals anymore but there's a lot of damn good content nonetheless, even if its suggestion algorithm leaves much to be desired.

I haven't touched Hulu since they dropped South Park. I probably should cancel.

Other than that, check out PlutoTV. It's a pretty good cable alternative as long as the price stays free.

I feel pretty good about paying 170 dollars for twenty seasons or 277 episodes of South Park over the last nine months. Four five season collections, together only slightly over four inches wide, with flipper cases (although I'll eventually back everything up to a massive RAID so that I don't have to use the discs at all). That's 61 cents per episode. Been rewatching South Park since December and am only up to season 17, episode 239 (Informative Murder Porn). If I had watched it on Hulu without ads, I already would have paid 116 dollars over nine months (12.92 a month including tax), for episodes that I'm only renting at reduced quality, and I still have 38 episodes to go. But people will tell me physical media is so outdated. Lol.

I did watch more than that on Hulu. Handmaids Tell, Seinfeld, Twin Peaks, etc. I'll cancel till they get something else I want to watch, then resub till I'm done.
