I have recently gotten addicted to Dominion. It's an awesome deck building game that has a nice rhythm and good amount of strategy. You're a "monarch" and the goal is to acquire "property" by gaining currency, action cards, and attacking the other "monarchs." Once a certain amount of action card decks run out, the game is over. I seriously can't get enough of it! There's another game similar to it called Ascension that I really want to play with very similar mechanics, but they were fantasy-esque.

I do every now and then, usually more of a drinking thing but a few of my friends and I do play trivia ones seriously. Some of them also like playing Monopoly, but I can't stand that game. I'd rather go to the dentist.

More of the card game variety. My current addiction is Lord of the Rings LCG (I own everything out so far @_@). I recently got Doomtown Reloaded and I have many other games, like Summoner Wars, Ashes Rise of the Pheonixborne. And a few deckbuilders like Thunderstone Advance, Arctic Scavengers, Cthuluhu Realms. I'm looking to pick up Warhammer Quest Adventure card game soon. As you can tell, I like my card games haha

Played Risk a long time ago, with the likes of Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit. Had a Star Trek TNG chess set that was quite fun.

I like this card game called Boss Monster, not really a board game, but close enough.

I play monopoly and Life on holidays with my family sometime. Used to love playing stratego as a kid. I play online chess now and then.

Not really. Got the kid a Legend of Zelda Yahtzee game though so I guess we'll be playing that soon.

Monopoly, I like Monopoly. Also, does Briscola counts? Then that too.

Monopoly never gets old.

I also love chess although I suck at it. I bring a small travel set with me whenever we go on road trips back to my hometown. My relatives love chess as well.

Nice chess set! I bought my daughter a nice chess set last year and we play all the time!

Anyways I still play some board games, most recently:

Nice. I remember seeing that set somewhere. I need a better full-size board because the one I have is made of a mineral called onyx.....I think. It's heavy as hell.

Someone mentioned Stratego earlier. I played a lot of that too when I was younger. My wife's relatives (from the Philippines) played a similar game called Game of the Generals. One reason why I get along with the in-laws so well. ;-)

The game needs three people though: two players plus a neutral referee. Definitely a guy's board game. We'll play monopoly when the gals want to play too.

I wish I had friends who were more into all those nifty looking alternative board games. (By alternative, I mean such as Dominion, Catan, etc rather than the traditional ones like Monopoly, Clue, Life, that everyone knows about.)

I play fairly often with my nephew, nothing fancy just kids games like Sorry and Chutes and Ladders. In high school we had a group that got together at lunch to play Risk.
