Just came back watching THOR RAGNAROK from @davillain-and @mitu123 recommendation's.

Superb chemistry between Loki, Bruce and Thor. Hela is one awesome and powerful antagonist. Surprise cameo which im not spoiling. Epic Thor Theme. Just Pure entertainment and best bang for your buck lol.

MOST FUNNY MARVEL MOVIE ADAPTATION EVER... imo. 9/10.

See it asap.

And Thanks again D ?

Forget comics J. See RAGNAROK to be entertained. Read the comics to be entertained. Don't mix the two lol.

Haha ......

I do wish the Thor movies followed the Lee/Kirby comics more, I have a big run of Silver Age Journey into Mystery/ Thor comics I'd like to see take a leap in value.

Watched Ragnarok yesterday and absolutely hated it. Just joke after joke after joke. Even in scenes that should be serious. There is no emotion, no tension, no heart, no cohesiveness. Good characters completely wasted. And if you've seen the trailers, you have seen the movie. In the bottom 2 movies of the MCU for me. However, if you likes GOTG2, then you might like this. Mindless "fun" where even the jokes don't land most of the time.

I'll see this movie even if I have to do something crazy, like purchase it on amazon for $14.99 in 6 months.

Omg the second Guardians sucked so friggin hard. Every time the big muscle dude opened his mouth I wished horrible things upon the writers...if there were any.

People forget that before he wrote the GOTG movies James Gunn wrote the live action Scooby Doo movies.

Too much humor for me, to a point where the movie was trivializing what was happening.

For instance when Asgard is destroyed and the rock-man cracks a joke. Your homeland and the center of the many different dimensions was just destroyed -- time to crack a joke!

That's what everybody says but to me the trailers look awful. Like it's made for TV. At any rate, I'll wait for the 3D Bluray release. I expect it to at least be technically proficient.

@InEMplease:

May be in the minority but I loved GotG2. However, I had to see it twice to fully appreciate, but when I did, I realized what a greatly entertaining and fun movie it was, perhaps my favorite movie of the year. Just a blast, a fun trip ala the original trio of Star Wars movies.

Looking forward to Thor, but kinda dissapointed they are going overly comical with him. Then again, he is a "god" so he is so powerful he can be a little cocky with the joking, because he is confident enough he can handle any situation.

@sonic_spark: It's more funnier then Guardians of the Galaxy 2 but don't let that stop you from watching Ragnarok. The action is awesome, Hela was sexy, deadly but I think the Valkyrie chick was damn sexy. Go watch it, it has comedy but it totally works well in this new Thor movie, vs the previous Thor films.

The only joke in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 I like is the whole Taserface stuff lol.

I'm going with 8/10.

Best Thor movie by far, but that's not saying much after The Dark World. Hela was great, jokes were great, Thor and Loki's banter was fantastic... but I didn't see anything worthy of calling it the "best Marvel movie ever". I think that title still lies with Guardians. But Guardians had Thanos, and I'm a Thanos fanboy.

Korg was the best though.

It's about fucking time Infinity War drops. I'm pretty much done waiting.

@indzman:

I won't, it was excellent 8.5 / 10, enjoyed it alot.

I wish the Executioner was used more effectively (he was a constant enemy along with The Enchantress in 60s Thor comics) and Anthony Hopkins was surprisingly dissapointing as Odin (good riddance), but Cate Blanchett was great as Hela, although she is even more powerful in the comics, despite a surprising weakness. I hope we see her again, I have her first true appearance in Thor #150 stashed away.

Plenty of comedy, but thankfully not overwhelming. Now where have I seen that beautiful woman who played Valkyrie, hmmmm......ah Creed and Westworld

Agreed. It felt like an 80's action/comedy movie, but even those had at least abit of weight to them.

48 Hours being a good example.

Overall, enjoyed it, but not life changing or anything like that.

It's a fantastic movie, and Thor finally spreads his wings. I've been waiting for this moment in his character development since the original movie, and my god it's a sight to behold. That showdown at the end I think should go down as one of the best Marvel fights.

I just love how all the Marvel characters develop over the course of the whole MCU. No character stays in a stagnant state, and this film is particularly important for both Thor and Hulk as they both undergo major transformations in their character.

I'm so ready for Infinity War.

I watched it yesterday and I absolutely 100% agree, it's definitely up there among the best MCU movies. The only thing I really disliked is Hela's power, summoning blades out of her arse doesn't seem really fitting for the Goddess of Death.

Also, somebody PLEASE give Karl Urban and Ray Stevenson a decent role in a movie. Both have stellar performance records in the movies they play in but still keep getting relegated to secondary roles or make it as primary in movies that barely get any recognition from the public.

brilliant super hero movie. tried a tiny bit too hard to be guardians of the galaxy with the style of humour but overall it's a near perfect blend of action, cheese, special fx, comedy and surprises. i'm looking forward to justice league now just to see how bad it is in comparison to thor and spiderman

Thor really wasn't that great. Okay. Not a high bar to surpass. Spider-man had it's own issues.
