And as for you economy, it's going down **** creek. Over spending and fighting oh so successful wars around the world have lead you into this position. You should read some articles by David Walker, Comptroller General of the USA (nations top acountant), who says the US is in real trouble. Thank your republican president and out of control Federal Banks for your predicament.

I can kind of understand why the US government intervened in the Bear Steans case, basically to stop further fallout hitting the stock and banking markets. But boy does it send out a bad message. Basically the government is saying to the banks, be as corrupt and unaccountable as you want and we'll bail you out with money we don't have to spend. :| It's fat cats in the federal bank helping fat cats in the private banks and odinary joe schmoe ends up paying for the bill. Disgusting.
