just today, when i was writing a story for school (based off of megaman zero 1 in case anyones interested) i was writing the first part of the story from ceils perspective. i got so deep into writing and making the dialoug sound like it was a woman talking that when i stoped writing i had to remind myself i was a dude, this was srsly freaky, so has any other writer gotten so involved in writing a a charecter of the oposite sex that they needed reminding they were a guy/girl?. as i said before this is rly creepy.

That's actually good...makes your characters more real and believable.

~-~Did you start to play with your boobs only to be severely disappointed? Lol.:P But really, that's probably a good thing. Better then writing about a girl who seams to think she's a guy. It's a good skill for a writer to be able to put their feelings/ opinions/ personality/ whatever aside and get into character. Or in your case gender.~-~

I find it's best to not even try to guess what other people are. Write about how you view other people, but if you try to define other people, you're not going to succeed, and why should you try anyway? A good writer just lets you know what it's like to be under his skin, not express the true nature or truth or some nonsense like that.

Yeah that's happened to me before. You have to think like your character, etc. Makes it more believable. :)

The closest I've ever gotten to that is me 'acting' out the dialogue just so I know how it's going to sound in someone's head. But never in other voices.

I had to write a long story about two people in a debate from both perspectives. I swear I got a split personality from that for a while.
