Well, in general you can leap from higher and higher ledges depending on your level/hp. Someone should tell his parents that it isn't Blizzard's fault that the kid didn't know how many hit points he needed to survive the fall.
This is quite old, I used it as reference for my dissertation research. If I remember correctly, did Blizzard emphasize the point that you don't "jump" off per se, you float down using a rare spell?

How could it be Blizzard's fault? How? Where in WoW does it tell a human being to jump off of (i'm guessing) some large structure and expect to survive? The parents are just looking for someone to blame other than themselves.

I refuse to actually be a parent for my children! It's better to let them go waste their life away and then blame society and sue a company or two when they finally do something stupid and end up dead! It's not my fault! :x

that's not true. you lose a percentage of life depending on the height of your fall. I.E. a level 1 toon will survive jumping off of the FP tower in Org just the same as a lvl 70 toon. both will lose the same percentage of hp.
