Funny thing is, Jesus would actually be FOR Obamacare, or at least the concept at least. He wouldn't be against it at all. There are a lot of hypocritical "Christians" out there who don't understand it, Jesus would want poor people to have health care, he was a poor person himself.
I don't see why some "Chrisitans" won't admit this, Jesus wasn't a European nobel who wore bright color clothes like in the paintings, he was a Jewish peasent who was at the very bottom of society. He understood the sufferings of others and he would want them to be taken care of.
People COMPLETELY miss the message of The Bible. I doubt Jesus would care about politics either, he wouldn't be either a Democrat or a Republican.

If they don't rule it unconstitutional then the devil wins.
This is a pretty big case.

Are you Retarded when did he said he was Jewish and I am pretty sure Jesus/Bible says Help people not F*** them over
ShadowMoses is Jewish, and I'm just having some fun with him. Relax. So you define socialism as "helping people"? I've encountered socialistic-sounding excerpts from Christian theology here and there, but I'm sure there's a lot of room for interpretation. If Jesus was in fact a socialist, thankfully mainstream American Christianity doesn't adhere to that doctrine.Funny thing is, Jesus would actually be FOR Obamacare, or at least the concept at least. Jesus did not preach stealing money from people who worked their *** off to get it, therefore he IS NOT a socialist.

Stealing no. He just said to give to the poor. Interestingly some Conservatives of the religious variety ignore that part of the message. Wonder how they justify that.....Jesus did not preach stealing money from people who worked their *** off to get it, therefore he IS NOT a socialist.

I am a Jew but I study other religius texts as well, I believe there is wisdom in The Bible just like the Torah and Jesus had much wisdom. There is nothing wrong with learning things is there?
And Jesus was in favor of helping the poor, showing people mercy and forgivness ect....I'm not saying he was the messiah (I don't believe that) but there is still much wisdom indeed. I do believe that he was inspired by God at the very least.
And I never said he was a socialist, his view was simply to help the poor. Which he was one.

Luke 12:16-21Then he told them a parable: ?The land of a rich man produced abundantly. And he thought to himself, ?What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops?? Then he said, ?I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, ?Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.? But God said to him, ?You fool! This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be?? So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich toward God.?
Mark 10:21-22Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, ?You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.? When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions.
Matthew 6:24You cannot serve both God and Money.
Acts 2:44-45 And all that believed were together, and had all things in common;
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
Seems pretty clear-cut, to me.
Jesus did not preach stealing money from people who worked their *** off to get it, therefore he IS NOT a socialist.

If you think the wealthiest 1% actually worked for what they have, you're delusional. Most of them got to where they are by screwing people over.

Actually at that tiem the wealthy put heavy burdens on the poor, which Jesus preached AGAINST and stated that the poor deserve to be taken care of. Remember when Jesus stormed the Temple and pissed off the priests and money lenders? It's becasue they were dealing with money in the House of God and were making the poor pay to use it.
Wich is an aspect I don't understand of Christans as they collect money on the sabbath (though it's actually on Saturday and not Sunday). Still my point being is that Jesus was mad that the poor were not being taken care of.
He said that "it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than it is for a rich man to enter heaven". I don't think he was talking about people with wealth in the general sense, just the ones who don't help or give back. Which the social programs make them do.
Also you can't have a society without both capitilism AND socialism. It just doens't work. And Socialism and Communisim are two different things.

Even admists things people with different views can find common ground, which is important. Though I doubt you or many other people would be offering to do the same with me. Different views is just part of life, what matters is that people can respect other views.
Which many around here do not do. But it's the internet, that always happens on here.

I don't believe any of this crap, but at least use the words out of the dumb book.
It's not impossible, it's just stupidly improbable.
