Why OT hates Hip Hop / Rap ???

For those who hates on Hip Hop / Rap Music

1. Hip Hop / Rap music is not always about pimps , hoes and drugs . Girls shaking thier bodies on HIP HOP videos is not obscene ( You'll be shocked by Arabian dancing if you dislike Hip Hop Videos ).

2. Hip Hop music dosen't promote violence. Violent people promote Violence , not Music .

3. Hip Hop music is as superior as POP . In Discotheque , car stereos or parties Hip Hop Music is enjoyed . Correct me if i'm wrong .

4. Hip Hop artists earns in millions and are considered as Top Music Celebrities .

5. Hip Hop music promotes stylish and urban fashion amongst youngsters ( dressing , grooming )

6. Rap music is a form of self expression ... poetry . Hip Hop Music is Rythmic .

Conclusion :

Hip Hop / Rap Music is not EVIL.

I dont hate it.

I don't hate it, and tbh OT spends alot more time hating Pop.

I'm aware It's not all bad and if you're into that stuff then whatever. But some of it is utter horsepiss and that's when it bothers me.

Anyway, the music never appealed to me so I'm not gonna explore into it. I'm perfectly happy with what music I already listen to

Black people never get the benefit of having distinguishable traits based on varying circumstances. It's all one big stereotype. Most music genres are compared and contrasted between mainstream songs that are usually unintelligent and popular and underground music that stays true to the aspects that define it. But for Hip Hop/Rap? it's all big booty models and cars, amirite? Because what better place to characterize anything than the mainstream outlets that expose it...

I don't hate it either, its actually my 4th favorite genre of music. Though I'm more into old school R&B than actual rap. My guess is that most people hate it because they view the commercialized stuff to be in poor taste. Go listen to some Pharoahe and then compare it to something like Gucci mane and you'll see what I mean.

Because they haven't accepted the fact that Based God cooked for their sins.

B.c OT is made up of a certain demographic that happens to not like Hip Hop as a majority. Im guessing.

You should watch the documentary. They were really popular when they first started, then they kind of got drowned out by all the other big bands of the 80's They played the next 30 years or so in small bars, until this documentary came out.

Rap works better when It's not in Hip-Hop

I wrote a paper on why rap was the best genre of music.

It wasn't graded.

i never got that impression. The only genre I ever noticed that really got dislike from this site was good ole American Bye God Country music.

I was in a music union once up on a time that said 'All types of music are welcome here'

what they really meant was any kind of rock...even Heavy Metal was allowed.

Country was not exaclty disallowed but any mention of it was ignored.

I like and enjoy ALL music and have faves from every type....my first love is country western the one by GOD REAL American music.

Heavy Metal, persian, Hindi, German, Tex-Mex, French, you name it i enjoy it. Vigen, Reytoro, Mireille Mathieu, etc.

the best is still Webb Pierce, Kitty Wells, Brad Paisly, Toby Keith
