That's because the animal is in pain, not because it knows it's going to die.

The animal will fight with all of its strength to stay alive. Who are you to say that it doesn't realize death imminent?

My dog will fight with all its strength to keep me from pulling a thorn out of its paw, beacuse its in pain.

Its dumb. I dont know. But I do know that if I was ever quadreplegic or something, I would definitely have myself euthanized.

They are living creatures just like us. They come from the same planet just like us. They have a conscious just like us. They have emotion just like us. How in the hell do they not have souls?

Umm, WHAT????????? Animals don't fear death??? LMAO!!! And other primates can recognize themselves in the mirror. Also, intelligence has nothing to do with an animal's ability to feel pain.

How can you comprhend death if your not aware of your existance? Pain and death are 2 seperate things, pain is something that tells us to stay away from something. Pimates can only ask for things when it comes to communication, and only after years of training, you can never carry a conversation with a primate, even if it knows sign launguage. If can only ask for things and can't critically think then how can you comprhend and justify things such as death.

Primates can do more than just ask for things in terms of sign language. They learn the words for concepts and emmotions as well, and can answers basic conceptual questions, as do certain species of bird. And I'm not sure how you can be so convinced that animals don't fear death. I think fear of death is natural to all living beings. Why do people fear death? It's something that has evolved in all creatures as a means to ensure survival.

That is survival instinct. We only know we're going to die because we are told so. Do you know you're dying until your doctor delivers the grim message?

Euthanasia should definitely be legalized, the only problem is that it would be opening a whole new brand of excuses from murderers.

Funny, but Hitler didn't want to "control the population" rather eliminate the populations of certain races deemed inferior.

Yeah, I agree. I especially think that we shouldn't try to control the rat population. When I see rats running around the streets in huge numbers, I respect their right to live. I don't look at them and say "these animals need to die".
