Why i think E3 failed this year

Let's just face it, E3 is just no more like it used to, here's a reason why:

1) triple A devs and indie devs nowadays kinda moved on to Gamescom, VGAs, Pax and so on. E3 has been around for so many years, its really getting old.

2) E3 used to be a place for console war towards hardware and games... but i think that right now gamer culture has changed and are different, we all have every console and PC, so there's no point in fighting

3) E3 is a place where most games get hyped and get disappointed , yes 99% of games will show CGI trailer instead of real-time gameplay footage, and even false promises, after announcement of a game then years later getting cancelled or never heard ever again

4) Triple A devs just don't bother bringing old games back. im talking about big titles like Megaman, Duke Nukem, Burnout, Medal Of Honor, Command And Conquer, Wipeout series, Half-Life series, Fear series, KotOR, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Singularity, and list just goes on and on

So far I think it's been a disappointing year. Nothing to do with the reasons you gave though. It was good the last 2 years.

Just feel like there's very little original this year. Still, Nintendo could impress tomorrow! I'm hoping for a Metroid announcement.

Wants originality, pines for a 31 year old franchise

Wasn't E3 like an actual exposition at one point, something for professionals as well as the public, to go to and look at what's up and coming. Now it's just a big ad campaign.

Still exciting, don't get me wrong, and I suppose at it's core it does its original mission, but it does seem to have gone off course. I don't know, I've never been; maybe it's just Gamespot's coverage of it?
