I don't gwt when people say that Uno doesn't require skill.
If you are actually trying to win a game, then there is some good strategies
It's like saying that poker is based all on luck.

[QUOTE="jasperrussell"]Yeah, but people say there it's all luck and there is no skill to it. who are these people!!!!! lets hunt them down and and make them eat there words!!!! obviously people who lose at UNO.yeah but it aint chess.

Obviously, I mean there is more to it than you may think, when to change colors, when to put down cards, how to determine your opponents hand.judog1and play a wild card as your last card so there's no chance of them continuing
but the big question is - does the initial random deal outway any advantage of tactics.jasperrussellI believe it can, it's just like poker, if you don't have good cards you are going to loose that hand, although in UNO there is a pretty good chance you are going to have to draw cards be it that you need them or that someone put then a draw card. So eventually you will get some decent cards. And this is where the games get long, I was playing the other day and my opponent had only 3 cards, one of them was a draw 4, he put it down and I got great cards and went for a comeback and won the game even though I had 12 cards when he had 3
Poker is 90% luck, 10% skill. Magic cards require more skill and strategy than poker, a seemingly heralded world "sport". XD Uno requires the same amount of skill as power, easy.I don't gwt when people say that Uno doesn't require skill.

Poker is way more than 10% skill, ever ask yourself why in a tournament with thousands of players usually everyone at the final table is a very well known, professional player?
It would be to hard and it would probably boring to do such a test.judog1oh it would definitely be boring :P

Because those people know how to exercise that 10% of skill, and convert some of that 90% luck by getting lucky with bluffs. It's less skill than knowledge. You know what's in your hand, you see what's out there on the table, and you play the odds. It's a game that requires a tremendous amount of luck. If I'm wrong with my ratio, I'd be willing to say a 30(skill)-70(luck) split but that's the most I could possibly imagine.[QUOTE="SavageM2"]Eh, it's only Uno...judog1You mean you don't like America's favorite card game? Well, I mean, It is only Uno. Love it or hate it, it doesn't matter...Cause..you know, it's Uno... Seriously though, I do like Uno. Pretty fun game. Haven't played it in the longest time though. :P
