Why didn't the world save Iraq and stopped America from invading it?

Okay, so I keep coming across comments saying that the Iraq War was wrong; it did nothing but killed hundreds of thousands of people and destabilized the region....

.... and from what I can understand, most of the world was against it too....

If that's so...... why didn't the world do anything? Why didn't the world sent troops to Iraq to defend it? And as for the US, punish it like North Korea and even threaten invasion if it still pursues?

it wasnt just USA, other countries sent troops to including the UK, Australia, South Korea, Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Ukraine, Georgia, Netherlands, Spain etc etc

It wasn't just America, but much of the world went insane. Even some neighbouring Arab countries supported it at the time, just to get rid of Saddam. For decades, America spread propaganda about big bad Saddam, and much of the world ate up the bullshit like suckers.

If a group of notorious gangsters started beating the crap out of a helpless dude with baseball bats in an alleyway, would you play hero and step in?

The invasion of Iraq was already being planned in the '90s. Not just by the US either, but also by allied nations like the UK. In UK parliament back in 1998, there was a motion proposing the invasion of Iraq. The motion was narrowly defeated, thanks to a powerful anti-war speech by the late Tony Benn recalling his experiences of World War II:
