Pretty simple topic. Can be from any work of fiction (or hell, even real life).

Mine would be Erin, the main character from You're Next. She's smart, crafty, knows how to survive and holy shit she's sexy. Not only that, but she is kind of a vengeful figure for all of the helpless females in slasher movies.

@Jag85: Moon Lee was similar to Michelle Yeoh in that she had solid dance experience and thus could be easily trained to mimic movie martial arts moves, but her charms and acting skills led her to easily float back and forth from being a helpless girl, to being somebody who could kill everyone in the room. Yukari on the other hand was a judo/gymnast/karate expert who also spent some time doing crazy stunt work with Sonny Chiba...she happily adapted to Chinese cinema where she was pleased to discover she didn't have to worry about pulling her punches as the stunt people there were used to taking hard hits.

I have never really gotten into a movie that has a female as the lead in an action movie.

Helena Bertinelli from Arrow

Ha. I temporarily forgot about her. what a crazy lady. It was funny too, because in the first two episodes that she was in, my sister and I were saying that the girl in the T-Mobile commercial looked a bit like Helena, then in the second part of the first season (i.e. the part that starts in January) when Helena came back from an episode Diggle said something to Oliver about "would you have any problem putting an arrow through her if she looked like me instead of the T-Mobile girl".

I was thinking of mentioning someone from Arrow in this thread, but all I could think of were Thea and Felicity, neither of whom I consider "ass kickers", though you would think either Arrow or Diggle would teach Felicity how to fight a little bit.

I actually liked Alice from Resident Evil, I think they are fun popcorn flicks.

Angelina as Lara Croft was great. And also Chloe Mortez as Hit Girl was a surprise. Xena also, she was the "first" for my generation.

Now that I think about it, the heroines are almost always weak damsels in most horror movies, so it's no surprise Moon Lee plays one in Mr. Vampire. Still, when it came to 80's Hong Kong action movies, the heroines sure knew how to kick arse! I don't see much of that from the modern Hong Kong movie industry though.
