Since most NFL QBs have been white, and most people who judge the "greatest" at the QB position almost invariably name a white QB, I want to make the debate a bit more interesting. Let's take Brett Favre, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, etc, etc.. out of the picture and limit the discussion to black QBs. Who do you think has been the greatest so far?
My personal pick is Donovan McNabb. He has been selected to 5 or 6 Pro Bowls, holds most (if not all) major Philadelphia Eagles passing records, takes care of the ball far better than most QBs (2nd or 3rd on the all-time list in terms of fewest INTs per pass attempt). He has been to multiple NFC championship games, and a Super Bowl.
A VERY close 2nd for me is Warren Moon. He had amazing longevity, and put up some very strong seasons in the middle of his career. In some ways I put him ahead of McNabb, but Donovan is more mobile, so I give him the edge.
What do you think?
