I can't stand my parents or my siblings most of the time, I can't stand most people either so I don't know how's that gonna work out. Maybe if I ever find the right person, but I wouldn't be too happy about passing my genes.

I concur. My dad wants to get me married to someone right after I graduate, which will be in about two years (when I'm 21). >_> Talk about rushing. 21? My god. And I thought 24-25 was early. I just can't understand the want to rush into something like marriage. I have no idea where my life will take me in the next ten or even five years (and I'd imagine most people are the same), so why settle down so early? It's not about settling down, my family does the same thing and so do many rich folks. They want you to marry and father a child early so that he or she would grow up with you and be a person you could trust in managing your business or helping you out one way or another.
Due to a variety or reasons I do not see that ever occurring, but you never know. Life tends to throw you curve balls but what you wish for you often get.
I'm not like looking to get married, but if it happen it happens, but it would of course have to be legalized first, so at the moment, no plans, but I don't really care anyways.
I don't plan on but things could change since I'm only twenty. Right now, I don't even like having girlfriends. I'll just see a girl for a bit without any commitments and it ends quickly.

I wouldn't. Break ups suck. Break ups with lawyers are hell on Earth. I have no problem with monogamy or commitment, but legal marriage is not something I'd do.

only if im making good money to live well of and get me a good girl, then yes. If im not doing too good, just getting by, living average or slightly below, then nope.

well i've already lost the girl i could see myself gotten married to someday. to me geting married to any other girl is equal to accepting the failure so i'm not gonna get married ever.

I myself am married. Â Got married after living with my now wife for about 10 years. Â I used to think like many of you that there is no point; there is though. Â If you go through the process of getting married with someone whom you really love it will bring you closer together. Â It means more than you think. Â
But of course if it's not the right person then it can be a disaster...
My only reason to getting married is to have someone there for me to help raise my children. I really don't want someone else but me to raise my children but I know how difficult that could be like.
I plan on getting married but Im struggling to see the logical reason for it in today's day and age. In the past when their were set gender roles it made sense. But now its like a contract for someone else to get half your stuff if y'all split up. However there are some tax advantages to being married.
I am married and I would not trade my wife in for anything or anyone. I have enjoyed being married to her and raising our son together. Marriage is a beautiful thing.

marriage is a construct that should be abolished and not forced upon ppl like it is in our culture. its expected by every1 to get married. thats not right. all it does is limit sexual fredom and expression

I don't really see the point in marriage. If I meet a really good partner, then living with her seems like the best option. Not that I have a problem with people who marry, it just seems unnecessary from my point of view.
