Who do you think is the best rock band ever?

When I say rock, it could be anytype of rockfrom the Beetles to Led Zeppelin to Greenday. So from all the rock bands out there, who do you think is the best of all time?

RHCP technically is more Funk than rock, but I'd have to agree. Them or Foo Fighters, Eagles, or The Beatles.

Far too many genres of rock and eras to choose a winner from. My favourites are - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica, Arctic Monkeys and Stereophonics. I don't expect people to agree with me (especially the last 2) , taste is music is subjective and there is no "best rock band" - it varies from person to personand fromgeneration to generation.

Pink Floyd, i can easily go for Led Zeppelin as well, but they had too much english blues in them the first years leading up to 1971 and way after too during live performances. later on, Led Zeppelin was a magnificant rock band, and one of the few that made their music unique, but so did Pink Floyd, and they skipped the english blues right on from 1965.
