do you ever feel compelled to blurt out, or jump up and walk around? Because I do for some reason.

For example, if I remeber one really embarassing moment from my life, I tend to say "shut up", or "God no, no, no" or "ok,ok" or something similar outloud. Or atleast when I'm by myself. I also tend to cringe, shake my head a bit, and start pacing the room. I usually calm down a second later, but is there something wrong with me?

So far i've been able to usually avoid doing this around others, besides a cringe, which I tell people is just from a headache if they notice.

like I said, these are just short fleeting outbursts. IDK why they happen, just that they only do when i recall a very embarassing moment from my past.

Anyone else have these? Or am I just spiralling further and further into my invetibale place at the depths of insanity? :(

I don't get up and walk around, but remembering a really embarrassing situation has made me wince a couple times.

I cringe inwardly at the thought, but that's about it.

Yes, i've thought about it being tourettes too, but If it is it seems minor at the moment, sindce I can completely surpress it in public, and I kinda don't think it is as it only happens when I'm embarassed.

That is exactly what it sounds like. Someone I know always had these issues when some tense moment would come about, either being in a crowd with too many people, feeling on public display, or getting embarrassed over something.

Yes, but that's different for everyone. Tourette's is a spectrum of behaviors and nervous tics, including the degree of tension that triggers them.

I think you should read the symptoms in the link I provided. Anxiety triggers tics.

Yup, absolutely. I hate self-diagnoses but I think if it's a concern of yours (or if the behavior ramps up) you should definitely seek a professional. :)

Such embarrassing memories are buried deep and should never come up. And if they do then just bury it again. No blurting

I just cringe. I don't really do any of that other stuff unless I was confronted by someone about that embarrassing moment.

I usually just cringe on the inside, and sometimes either really regret doing whatever I did, or just try and forget that it happened.

when i recall an embarrassing moment and im by myself, for some odd reason i say "i'm pregnant". i have never been pregnant in my life and for the life of me i have no idea why i say that. other times i will say something like "i hate myself". i usually do not say those things when other people are around. only when im by myself. if i catch myself before saying i don't. but inattentively i say these things out loud.

Hahahaha I thought I was the only one who did this! Yeah I sometimes blurt out a quick swear word or whatever...don't think there's any need to see a doctor. It only happens when I think of something embarrassing which isn't all that often. I really don't think it's a big deal.

If I think of something really embarrassing, I'll sometimes cover myself with my blanket in a fetal position and just try to get through the anxiety. This is not something that occurs weekly, by the way.
