My opinion is that the universe is a place of infinite growth. The higher dimensions go on forever. It has a one being above all other beings that controls everything. God and it all came from nothing. Being it all came from nothing, it just gets better and better forever. Theres so much to the universe a mere mortal like me can't see. I see this life I'm living as just a soul defining life to define our eternity. That's my theory of the universe lol. Your beliefs matter.

What's your opinion?

Im not sure if it goes forever, but i do feel our universe (what we know so far) is just a tiny spec in something larger then we can even imagine. I think one day well create another planet like Earth.

@iandizion713: Yeah I have a tiny spark I see in my vision every minute or so. Reminds me of a big bang explosion. It just reminds me of how small we are in the cosmic scale.

I believe big bangs are cyclic. There have been an infinite number of universes before and there will be an infinite number of universes after. Everything we see is just the progression of entropy from a very hot beginning.

This sounds plausible.

Give your past responses (and in light of this one), I thought you'd enjoy this theory:

Our concept of time is laughable. Just because we live and die, doesn't mean there is a birth and death cycle of the universe. It has always been here, and will always remain. There are no borders,

Some scientific theorists postulate that in most every galaxy there is a black hole. This black hole could theoretically be a path to another universe, with it's own galaxies with black holes that could take one to another dimension, and on and on. That sounds cool.

I don't know why but I feel awfully comfortable and awkwardly relieved every time I read or hear something like this. To know that there was more, is more, and will be more, is a strange feeling bordering on regret -- of the future I'll never be living or the past I never lived -- and joy -- of simply knowing that there's more to 'imagine' perhaps.

On-topic: Whenever I'm feeling down, I start thinking about the universe. It's infinite so it can be anything I think it is (well I believe it is infinite).

And try our best to find out

And when it’s end of our route

What’s left is simply naught.

I think someone explained it best talking about scale, from the small to the very big, such as looking at atoms, when we look at the world from the very small it seems to be made up of seemingly infinite atomic structures, then we look at the stars, seemingly infinite amount of stars, 400 billion in our own galaxy, 1 trillion in our neighboring Andromeda, but then when we look at the shape of the universe it's just swimming with seemingly infinite galaxies in every direction we look. But, if we were to suppose that this universe has a limit, whatever it'll be, what's to say that whatever scale this represents isn't repeated on a scale so infinite that it's just like atoms swimming in a seemingy infinite sea of atoms, or stars among the stars, or galaxies among all the galaxies, what's to say that our universe, from the big bang epoch through the universal and cosmic expansion and up until the big chill, what's to say that isn't just one of seemingly infinitely similar events that make ours look so infinitely small and insignificant by comparison? Kind of interesting to try to wrap ones brain around.

Loading Video...

Or, what's to also say we don't live in a multiverse, sea of infinitely higher dimensions, one where every instance of individualized quantum probability has its own outcome and own set of branching paths, meaning that everything that ever would or could happen (since the beginning of time) already has. Metaphorically, if one were to time travel through a sea of infinite possibilities, maybe attempt to go back in time to assassinate Hitler, he might instead arrive in Berlin to see Hitler giving the I Have A Dream Speech and bring about an everlasting world peace.

I believe that these big bangs are cyclic. And much like the number infinitity is well, infinite, there has been an infinite number of cycles before us, and will be an infinite number after us.

It may be possible there are more universes than just this one as well.

No idea about the universe. I don't pretend to know. I believe we are a speck in the overall universe and there are infinite life forms on this plane of existence. There has to be...or there is a lot of space out there for nothing.

@Sweetbackhair: I've seen some crazy stuff. Like ufo's that looked like balls of light scanning the sky and a Pokemon like wolf creature running across the road. It looked super intelligent for a wolf and it ran like it had more dimensions to him. It's like I was looking at a higher dimension.

Yeah I'd rather them be secret. It would totally change the mystery of what people think happens after death. It's already stressful enough for people to think what happens.

I think that we may be so closed minded that we do not see all the potentially infinite possibilities. Take for instance black holes, which may be portals to other universes or dimensions, or perhaps a shortcut within our universe.

There may also be aliens. Though we have not discovered any. There are also planets that look like our planets.

Our technological advancement in space travel has not developed far enough so that we can explore these possibilities in a tangible way.

We live in a limitless multiverse that is conscious, we can either choose to treat it as such or not and it will respond likewise. It is quite amazing and I am filled with wonder by it!

Consciousness is the only thing I can prove is real (to myself at least).

lol.. Then I'll say it better, perhaps; The universe exists, weather or not lifeforms dwell there. We lifeforms matter little to the universe- the universe "will never know about us", therefore, given the infinite oblivion which composes the universe, why do we really need to bother much with it? Our primitive ignorance always keeps us trapped on this little blue rock. -We'll never have enough lifetime to learn of all the universe, even if we manage to grow beyond our caveman mentalities.

I've thought that too. The Universe is expanding right now, but it might contract until it's the dense ball it was before and then a new big bang, rinse and repeat.

It still doesn't shed light on the question "and before that, what?" I can't even begin to consider theories about the true beginning of everything.

@slipknot0129: I suppose mine is kinda similar, as I believe in a multi-dimensional reality of sorts. I believe we reincarnate, and have done so countless times before, and this life is just another road stop along a seemingly infinite journey into the utter unknown. Fascinating shit. Or I'm wrong and there's nothing... which wouldn't be so bad either. Nothingness has a kind of calming ring to it. No fear, no love, no anger, no desire... just... the end. But I think there's more to life than what we as humans will ever be able to understand, as the human mind is only capable of comprehending what it was designed to comprehend, the physical, 3rd dimensional realm specifically. Anything beyond that is beyond human, and to go beyond, is to cease being human and the beginning of something else.

Or some shit...
