What do you generally think of the collective of people?

I generally avoid a collective of people especially if they have pitchforks and torches
I really don't have an opinion as I don't judge people as anything other than individuals.
[QUOTE="testfactor888"]you wouldn't happen to know a dr. frankenstein, would you? No but I know his grandson. Really good guy. They made a movie about himI generally avoid a collective of people especially if they have pitchforks and torches

People are greedy, whiny, lazy, inefficient, easy to manipulate, somewhat idiotic, and very judgemental in general. Everyone also seems to want everything but at a cost of zero. Well, I guess that goes with greedy.
Myself, I am not much of a people person.
Society in America, as a whole, is degrading day by day. We just seem to have our priorities all mixed up.
There is just so much emphasis on technology and materialism. I think tech and gadgets are cool to an extent. But there really can be too much of a good thing.
Of course I was not born yet, but I would love to see America and the rest of the world living in a time similar to the 1940's (without the War and Nazism of course sillygoose!)
Societal I think we're okay in most part. However, this opinion obviously alternates from person to person. I feel it has more to do with each individuals situation. I personally have a great Career, home, wife and surroundings. Some of my immediate family have drug or alcohol addictions and live in squaller.
So obviously they would have a different opinion. As well as an inmate would equally have a different opinion.
Its all subjective to environment.
A person can be intelligent.
But people are stupid, and are obsessed with wanting more and being accepted into a specific "group" or clique of society.
The best people among us are the ones who can breakdown the socialbarriers and can unite people in common and beneficial beliefs that better humanity as a whole.
ie Jesus, Ghandi, Buddha, Mother Teresa, and anyone else who believed in being good to his/her fellow man.

Well said
Self-centered, blind, unintellectual. Dont get me wrong there are some great people out there but from what I have seen some people are very stuck up, obsessed with being the greater person than everyone else. Like Einstein once said "The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift."
