Mines is a 360 which was $500 when it came out in 2005 :D (My mum got it for me)

It may be a bit embarrassing compared to what some of the other answers will be (cars, houses, etc.)
Either my gaming PC or my Ibanez JS100, both around 1000$.
A piece of property that I scooped up after the previous owners died. It was right around the same time as housing prices everywhere were dropping. The property was assessed (before the market collapse) at 5 times what I ended up paying for it. I felt pretty shrewd about that.
did better than me ._. then again, i bet you bought it in a touristy/second home type of place bc those got hit the hardestat 5 times what I ended up paying for it

1969 Chevelle SS, I built it during my high school years and I sold it recently for college, let's just say I can buy 2011 Camaro SS2 cash, right now if I wanted to.

Yeah, you could describe it as somewhat second home-ish (although the previous owners lived there fulltime).
The house itself I don't care about. It's the land and location I like - about a mile or two outside the city limits of a growing town. Give it 10 or 20 years for the city limits to expand and zoning rules to get adjusted, and I'll be looking to sub-divide.
:nice: though that whole super long term investment thing still confuses me i'm like will i really be alive in 10 years? THOUGH i've lasted longer than I expected already soand I'll be looking to sub-divide.

I'm sure you've far exceeded that by now with beard care products over the years.

true true :)Most expensive item I've recieved is probably a Fender Super Champ XD ($300) for Christmas.
Most money I've spent at one time would be around $450. Two monitors and a graphics card.
The most expensive item I ever bought? I believe it was the Snap-On tool box I bought years ago. That cost more than the '82 S-15 I bought in '87. After those two, it would have to be my new camera set-up that I picked up the week of Thanksgiving.
A $120 (including shipping) terabyte hard drive. Yeah, my parents buy pretty much everything for me.
On the receving side, I'd say my education from elementary to university.
I r jealous much :C.$45,000 on car(cdn.)
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo
But murdered out. All black on black rims.

If I could make a guess on the next expensive item I'd buy, it would probably be a parachute rig costing anything from £1000 to £3500. Really nice ones fetch for £5000 but that's way too much for me. The lower bound's achieveable if I bought the container, main chute, reserve chute and the other bits and bobs separately and got the whole thing assembled by a certified rigger. For the whole thing in one, I'm talking the price of a car.
