Cannibal Holocaust, Henry Portrait of A Serial Killer, Guinea Pig 2: Flower of Flesh and Blood, August Underground and Broken.Samwel_X
This man knows his disturbing horror movies. Also, Salo: 120 Days of Sodom. It just got reissued on dvd so get out there and spend mommy and daddy's money kids!
An Eye for an Eye, starring Kiefer Sutherland.
That movie doesn't even need blood for it to be disturbing.

I saw that, and only the scene at the beginning where the daughter gets raped and kill was disturbing, but nothing else was that bad, if memory serves me correctly.
I can't really think of one.
There's this movie that Jullian Moore mentioned on the Conan O'Brien last night. It's about a guy who befriends an otter and it becomes his pet. Then he meets thi doctor girl who has a pet dog. Later the guy and the doctor get married and they're all together. Sounds like a happy movie right? Well near the end of the movie they go to this man and he just suddenly decapitates the dog. Now that's disturbing! Does anyone know the title of that movie? I want to watch it!!
[QUOTE="DJCUEBALL"]Is Cannibal Holocaust fiction or an actual documentary?
Samwel_X
Fiction. Although in the full uncut version has real animal killings and some real news real footage of a firing wall...
yeah but at the end of the day.. it's a crap movie, admit it ;)

Most super gore based films are awful. It can be appreciated as the first of the home camera style... but yeah the writing, acting and such are pretty appalling.
The only thing I really have to praise is the score which makes the film far more disturbing simply because it doesn't fit. Also its social commentary is carried through fairly well...
But yeah, its not good stuff.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm fine with blood and gore on the screen, I can handle it. It's disturbing, yeah, but I'll still watch it. Watching forcible rape is where I draw the line. (yeah it's a movie, but still...)
I also found that the rapist was willing to rape a young girl (not the one in the beginning, but the younger one, the one that's in like 1st grade) disturbing on multiple levels.
The weirdest thing about this, though, is the fact that I saw this movie in my criminal Justice class back in 12th grade. Everyone there didn't see it coming and was like "WTF!?!". Our teacher skipped all the sex scenes in movies, but rape scenes are apparently ok...:?

Henry is the only one worth watching... Broken is awesome... but is just a film to fit together NIN videos. The others are overly violent and fairly exploitative... when you see things like August Underground you will realise that the gore genre can be very dark and very disturbing and most importantly not a very pleasant experience.
one time at band camp i accidentally happen to watch my moms secret porno tapedarkside8898
thats wierd thats on my top ten sexay...
[QUOTE="Thechaninator"]I think it may be Oldboy or Suicide CLub for me. Both are fantastic movies though!!!esbastica
what's so good about suicide club?
Very cool, very original, twisted, and it was probably the most interesting social commentary I have ever seen.
Come on, the idea of showing the stupidity of fads by having the big fad be suicide is just genius!

Wow. This guy knows his stuff. Don't mess!
What makes Salo and August Underground so disturbing? Is it the plot and cinematography?
