But I dont see why said meaning should be either in order for it to "exist".
Also, hi Brie.
Hi George!! :) Yeah I don't believe in a universal meaning. If there's any meaning, it's just what people choose to personally attach to their own lives. To scurry about trying to stay alive as long as possible for a very tiny fraction of time until an eventual cosmic cataclysm occurs destroying everything erasing the goals and deeds of even the most accomplished human being in existance forever.
You're a spirit that will value things and think about yourself and others and have a blowtorch of emotions and want to be creative and yet be practical.
The meaning of life could refer to a lot of things.
The first being the definition, that's easy enough, but it doesn't really answer the question of why?
Why did this happen? Why do we exist? Why is there this conscious thought occuring? Well, the answer that most choose is, why not?
Leave the origin stuff to the scientists, they get deeper and deeper into the building blocks everyday. My advice is to not worry about why or how it happened, and focus on taking advantage of opportunity, while it is here. It won't last forever, and when it's gone, do you want to understand it, or make it the best one possible? In order to do that, you need to ask the question, what is the purpose of life?
Purpose is something that we must each find on our own. Giving your life purpose is the best way to achieve happiness, and if your purpose happens to be exploring the origins of life, or the reasons for why it happened, then continue your inquiry. But, if not, my advice is to find that purpose and enjoy the life that has been given to you by the universe.
