See topic title.

Mine is Tokyo, it just has everything!

- people are very friendly, polite and helpful (even if they don't speak english they usually try to help you)
- little crime (bicycles are stalled unlocked, electronica like cellphones is in displays outside without anti-theft protection, I've seen lost luggage and umbrellas on the train platforms, nobody is touching them, even strolling around at night is pretty safe)
- transportation (trains and subway) is easy, cheap, fast and incredibly organised.
- food is amazing and not all that expensive
- since it's so huge it has everything (skyscrapers, suburbs, mega malls, parks, temples, castles, museums, themeparks, harbor, markets, parades, boulevards, restaurants, pubs, clubs etc.)
- you can stay there for 2 weeks and do something different everyday.

Hands down, Tokyo. The transportation system is simply amazing. Even my hometown, Sendai, does not have that good accessibility to public transportation in comparison. Also, the vibe is different between wards (e.g. Shinjuku, Chuo, Setagaya)

Amsterdam has more action, but Maastricht is more cozy and friendly.

I have to say Liverpool first and foremost, if only because it's the city in which I live ^_^

Ones that I've visited, however? Hmm. New York, probably. Going there makes you feel like you're living in a movie.

The only problem I have with Oxford is 1) The eyesores that the City Council have allowed to be built over the past few decades. And 2) The cost of living is skyhigh, especially for renting/buying a house. I think because Oxfords an University town, the landlords can charge the earth. Apart from that though its a nice place to live, it has a slower pace than London, fantastic parks and museums and great pubs.

Did I go to the same Paris as everybody else? I was hassled constantly at the Tower by men trying to sell me poorly made junk, traffic was a nightmare, graffiti covered everything except La Louvre and the Notre Dame cathedral, the streets near my hotel reeked of raw sewage, and the only resteraunt I was able to find open was the canteen of a supermarket across the street!

I hate Paris.

yeah I like Oxford because it reminds me of where I live now; a small college town that is still pretty laid back, not too busy.

Likewise, I can definitely see Oxford as being expensive because, again like my current town, its a college place and can charge out the ass if they want for rent.

My best city was London, the transports system one of the best in the world. I found many call shops to call home as well. Now I decided to open one in London. Check my website http://www.call-shop.com and link back to my site please.

YESSSSSS I agree 100%. I was there last summer on vacation. It's a small city but so clean and picturesque. None of the craziness or rudeness of a big city like NYC. The only bad thing is that everything is crazy expensive.

I haven't traveled nearly as much as I'd like to. I currently live in Raleigh, NC, and I like it a million times better than my last place of residence, Miami, FL.

I've visited Los Angeles (meh), Washington DC (quite nice in both summer and winter), and Port St. Lucie, FL (nice beaches). That's about it.

Lto_thaG

I've been there. It was dirty, but then again I was around the airport (connecting flight). If you're going there for marijuana (probably the only reason to go), it's illegal for tourists.

On topic, small Mediterranean villages/towns are some of the nicest places. Part of my family lives in a nice town in Spain and it's cool to see the wide variety of architecture.
