She has a huge lead among democratic presidential contender's and I'm confused as to what makes her so popular. Is it just because she's Bill Clinton wife, and the Clinton name is somehow gold among voters? Or is it just because she's a women? Anyone have an idea?

Simple: The polling base is full of stupid people. I'm not slamming Hilary (honestly, I couldn't care less about her) I'm just saying that politics don't matter, it has mostly to do with the fact she's a woman. Same with Barack. Hell, even the same with Bill Clinton, people liked the cut of his jib, and "the young people" identified with him.

This is also why so many people want Colbert to actually win. Not because he'd be a good politician...

It may have something to do with her being the Queen of Darkness.

However, The Oprah has sworn to fight for the Obama camp. This should make for an epic battle.

What major lead? From some political poll?

She won't get elected because too many people hate her.

For very supporter she has there's someone who hates her guts.

lots of reasons. First, she's more of a socialist than FDR, and the American youth is becoming more active in politics, and the American youth is getting more socialist in general. Second, she's a woman. Third, she's Bill Clinton's wife, and we all know Bill was the greatest president we've ever had. Fourth, she's an excellent liar, making her seem like a strong leader with all the solutions. And lastly, the media presents her as the leader of the candidates, and the peopleusually want who's got the best chance.

It's kind of stupid how they do the polls. If you watch MSNBC or Fox News there's sometimes a caption in small lettering saying "retrieved from Yahoo.com", so an internet poll is far from an accurate estimate of what the average American wants....

I personally would never vote for Hilliary Clinton, but when I watch those political debates, I have to say that I am impressed by her because she always gives the best most intelligent answers IMO, and this is coming from a Republican. And I would imagine that many people see that from her as well which is probably why she has such a substantial lead over the other democratic presidential contenders. Again, I would never vote for her though.

Hillary Clinton is awesome. During the debates, all the other candidates gang up on her because she's the biggest threat, and then she owns them. She may of gotten called out on her flip flopping, but other than that, she usually makes those other dudes look stupid. Bill taught her well.

I do agree that bill was one of our best presidents (but FDR and Carter were better), but Hilary is far from socialist. I wish she were Socialist, but she is more conservative than many Republicans out there. People hate her because she's a woman, not that there's ever been a decline in hate from the right wing. I don't like her cuz she's too conservative, but she's way better than all of the Republican candidates. On the internet you find a lot of conservative libertarians, so you'd expect to have most internet-users dislike her. That being said, I'm for Edwards because he represents the Working Class and not the wealthy.

Absolutely nothing. The thing that interests people in Hilary Clinton is the concept of a female president. Often when I voice resentment for Hilary, I'll get a response flaming me as a sexist becauseI don't like her. Of course, these claims always come from other women, and never have I ever needed to speak about the issues before they jumped to that conclusion. When I fire back that they're actually sexist for assuming a male isn't voting for Hilary entirely due to her gender, they give me a vacant stare of a lack of understanding. Thoseare the kinds of people who support Hilary Clinton. Not entirely, of course...but in my experience, that's all I've been able to take from the issue.

She flip-flopped to the anti-war stances because Obama was beating her. Before March, she was for the Iraq War. So, I really wouldn't trust her "stance".

And so what if her husband is Bill? He has little power and influence, so it's not like it really matters.

I think every women's right movement will vote for her with the remaining people who actually seem to like her politics, and if (or in my case "when") she loses the majority might/may throw out a comment like "America is sexist" or something and we'll go into political turmoil yet again. Though I do hope that won't happen.

Meanwhile I support Gulliani, coming from a big Repub. family

There are only only two reasons: She has a vagina and she is Bill Clintons wife.

People are so desperate for something new that they are willing to blindly jump on Hillary's bandwagon because she would be the first female president and she is Bill's wife, which somehow immediately makes her a great leader....

Personally, I am voting either for Gravel or Obama (Gotta sit down and look them up at some point). If Hillary wins the demecratic nomination then I am going to the polls and voting for Chuck Norris. I urge people who feel the way I do to do the same.

Obama supports nuclear energy, but he doesn't know where to put the waste...He "tries" to cover his thoughts in the debate by saying "Don't ask where we can put it, but know that we CAN put the waste somewhere"

All the candidates suck... A lot of elderly women are excited the Hilary is running. A lot of them said that they were happy that they were able to vote, and now they're happier that an actual woman is running.

I know at one point she sided with Jack Thompson on some game dispute, and even called Mario games too violent; but that's why I hate her. I just don't see why anyone would like her, unless they're a feminist democrat.
