I misspelled it, I mean fiber. Fiber is a thin glass thread, that can send signals very fast over long distances. It's now being used for internet.

Yea I know what fiber optic is. I thought you were referring to "Viber" which is an Israeli communication company.

so in order to post pictures here, i have to upload from my computer. linking doesnt work. i have to save the pic to my computer and upload that way.

I'm unfortunately a Verizon subscriber. I moved to a different town where Fios isn't available. My download speed is legitimately .96 MBPS. Point ninety six. Absolutely awful.

just found out a few days ago my friend in South Korea has an internet speed nearly 100X faster than mine. And pays 1/3 of the price I do.

Anyone here has bandwidth limitation? I have and it's pretty annoying.

Which link do you use exactly? I cant upload anything, pics or user avatar, I cant even link from my own computer...GS complains and says link invalid.

I pay for 24mb and get maybe 7 if i am lucky.The sad part is this is the best and most expensive connection you can buy here.

edit:At least i've got unlimited bandwidth.Out of spite though i have downloaded nearly 2TB in the last few months.Whenever my pc is on it downloads stuff,always.

My house internet through Time Warner is 15 down and 1 up. My phone internet with my Note 3 through Verizon varies based on my location but at home I get similar speeds and at work i get 50 down and 30 up.

12mbps / .7 up. CenturyLink DSL. Have 40mbps and about 2-3 up at my girlfriend's house. Once I'm able to move off base we'll get a place together and hopefully we'll find something faster.

My speed test results are,

Downloadspeed:1.787Mbps

Uploadspeed:0.837Mbps

from work. adapter on laptop pretty much maxed out at this point.

My home speed is ~25mbs downloads and ~6mbs upload. And yet, Netflix is extremely blurry.

Netflix works fine in HD when I switch to my VPN which only gets ~4mbs downloads and ~1mbs upload.

Comcast? They throttle netflix to make people more likely to use their own service

Yeah, thats about where I am at too. It's good enough to stream HD with no problems so I'm good~
