What is your Take on Scientology?(try to keep it calm)

What I mean is; What do you think of it? I just wanted to bring this up because After seeing the videos that I posted below, I was kinda freaked out I guess. In the end, It doesn't matter because Scientology is something that its followers believe in, and everybody has a right to follow something that they think is good. But do you support/follow it, or are you against it for reasons unknown? Im personally against it since they supposedly brainwash people; I will give a link showing a device that the followers use to "purify themselves", if you will. I believe this device is possibly bad for your health, and it makes you say things that aren't meant to be public. I just have that vibe about the machine because how would a machine just totally flip your lid in an instant unless something was unnatural about it. Look at tom cruise; As soon as he picked up Scientology, he started acting all crazy. Scientology is also known for recruiting celebs to make the whole religion seem better I guess. If you think Im biased against the religion(which Im not), then feel free to speak you mind and give reasons to why you support it/feel ok with it around. Im sure Im asking too much by bringing this topic up in the first place, but try to keep it civil lol. Anyway, here are some vids...Once again, I am open minded about it but I dont support it. Meh, it makes at least as much sense as Christianity.

I would wish for nothing more than for others to leave them alone.

I feel nothing for them, which is exactly what I feel for all organised religions; nothing but contempt. They do not initiate wars however, and do not murder people for their religion. Thats a plus in my book, which something the three desert dogmas cannot claim.

The way I see it is that this whole fuss has been kicked up by pre-established religions who are concerned that Scientology is trying to muscle into their 'patch', their monopoly on guilible people. They believe NOTHING crazier than any of the other major religions. Sure, its clearly a scam, but so is televangelism, and wasting time going to special buildings to pray.

Why would ANY rational person care about them more than any of the other religions.

Its also quite a serious issue that people are getting up in arms over Scientology when their are other much more obvious and tangible threats posed by other religions, like Islamic terrorism, and Christian fundamentalism (the bane of civilization, yay for the regressive people). They are ATTACKING this religion, because they think its a crock of crap. Yes, it is a crock of crap but so are all the other religions, and you don't see people (too often) up in arms over their existence.

I think they believe in "tithing" - giving 10% of your wages to the church.

The current law in Swizerland is for everyone who works to give 6% of their wage to the Christian church, unless they specifically ask to opt out!

Most religions ask for donations from their followers. Have you seen god.tv? It's a non-stop religious telethon.

Donations arnt recquired to become a christian though. All you gotta do is beleive in Jesus and your set. And no i havent seen God tv.

But you don't gotta believe in Jesus to donate to charity, help out the community and do voluntary work.

I find non-religious aid-organisations have a better track record of accountability and impatiality over how the money is spent.

It may be true! Because all of a sudden there is an influx of stars being in Scientology.

I've been reading this article about Beck, from an anti-COS website.

It has some really interesting stuff on the practice of Scientology.

Shame about Beck though...
