Above my thermostat that controls the AC/heat, there is this small box that won't stop buzzing above it. Any guesses why? how to fix?!

Nine times out of ten it's an electric razor, but every once in a while... it's a herp Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a herp always use the indefinite article a herp never your herp.

What in the actual hell are you trying to say? TC, how long has the noise been going on for?

GreaT fight club reference.... As for the problem perhaps the electrical connections are not secured and it's producing a buzzing noise? If you're comfortable open it up with the power off and inspect it

Do you rent? If so call your landlord/supervisor right away. If not, call an electrician.

Take a picture if you need help because that dsecription isn't helping us help you. Also if you want to fix it fast just grab a hammer and wack it.

Oh, I've seen that before. It's an electronic bee hive full of robot bees. I'd run if I were you.

There are probably very few qualified electricians on the forums, and those few would probably demand payment for their services.

As acompletely untrained amateur, however, I strongly advise you strike it soundly with the palm of your hand until said noise stops.

This. And they're a right pain to remove once they've established a decent nest; the sound probably means you're too late.

From my experience, fire is the best remedy.
