The forum became so famous for banning their members for ridiculous reasons! it became a place only for people with the same opinions!

People make it out to be this crazy land of SJW's where if you even say anything contrary to the liberal agenda you get banned....but is it really like that?

Or is that just the far-right folks being pansies and playing the victim?

I'm over there right now actually I got banned for 1 month cause I got into argument over PS4 controllers not useable on the PS5 and got banned for discriminating against disabled or something which I never did.

Now I'm back and I kind of blend in more now just kinda follow the herd. System wars is more fun I think.

They banned SkillUp for being "Alt-right." Hilarious. I'm 99.99% sure that dude voted Labor in the last Aussie election and supports BLM. I think that's pretty much all I need to know about them.

Reminds me of an old saying of mine; "When you are so right-wing you are more right-wing than other right-wingers, anything even slightly to the left of you is a Communist." I've always said it works from the other direction too, I just didn't have a snappy equivalent to the word "Communist" - until much more recently.

Those two sites (NeoGaf and ResetEra) have had a pretty bonkers history. I guess ResetEra split from the original NeoGaf (previously Gaming Age Forum) site split off in 2017 due to some of the members of NeoGaf having some questionable histories. I think what pushed it over the edge was some controversy over EvilLore and questions about sexual misconduct. I do not know where that whole saga went, but from there, the NeoGaf users focused on improving moderation and transparency made left and created ResetEra.

Now NeoGaf seems like it has gone under moderated since 2017 and has become more toxic. For ResetEra, trying to avoid toxicity, I guess there have been some grievances with the constantly evolving moderation policies.

The place is a sewer pit where any semblance of original or slightly divergent thought will get you dogpiled and banned. It is an intolerant far Leftist shithole.

It's very obvious that the mods over at ERA have a large chip on their shoulder and are using and abusing the community to vent it. People get banned for NOTHING. Someone was banned for posting ".". Literally, a period.

The place is bonkers, and anyone who defends them either has no idea as to what they're speaking about, or is so skewed that they actually agree. It's thought policing at its finest and is one of the worst corners of the net.

As someone highly opposed to cancel culture and censorship, I'm against that place.

It's a virtue-signalling shithole of a website where everyone wants to **** tranny's and where degeneracy along with debauchery are celebrated as some form of progressiveness. Look at how many suicide threads keep popping off in Off-Topic, they're so insecure and detached from reality that anything that slightly deviates from their magical thinking makes them want to kill theirselves. For a website that is pro-inclusiveness and all about social justice, they're also pretty bad at it; they think that putting a tranny in a videogame will help those disenfranchised in the real world. They believe that they are the arbiter of how a society should be and what beliefs one should hold. Those that actually champion justice and equality for all and have power to do so, get banned for even slightly deviating from the hivemind.

It's basically a shithole echochamber where people worship each others feaces. When the slightest adversity hits them in real life, they need to run to their therapy dogs and their teddybears. When you think the members of ResetEra can't sink any lower, when famous internet celebrity Etika committed suicide, most of them conveyed the message of "good riddance" and were laughing at his death, because some innocuous offhand comment the hivemind didn't like very much.

Let's say in the socialist utopia they envision, they would be the first groups to be sent to the gulags by Stalin, just to get them out of the gene pool.

Now NeoGAF is the right-wing shithole that was always festering within the gaming community. ResetEra is the festering left-wing community needing their therapy dogs and safe spaces when someones disagrees with them. They're both equally bad.
