As this decade comes to a end what are your favorite shows from it? 2010-2019 unfortunately Breaking Bad doesn't count since it started in 2008.

Here's some of my favorite shows

  • Mr. Robot
  • Black Mirror
  • Better Call Saul
  • Stranger Things
  • Twin Peaks the Return
  • Altered Carbon
  • Terriers

Game of Thrones

This is Us

Better Call Saul

Stranger Things

The Walking Dead (typically this wouldn't be here but I thought the last season was the best season bringing the show up a bit from its slightly above average self)

.....in that order. Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all-time, but I saw it doesn't qualify. I like the first 4 of these shows alot. I do suffer from the post-Game of Thrones tv blues though :( .

Better Call Saul comes back in February!

It's Mr. Robot for me. If Game of Thrones had maintained the writing quality of the first four seasons, they would be neck and neck. But since that didn't happen, Mr. Robot is unquestionably my favorite. Somewhere below that, I would rate these highly:

  • The Good Place
  • The Expanse
  • The Magicians
  • Louie (God this is depressing)

Probably Dragonball Super even though a lot of the writing and animation was complete dog-shit.

Star Trek: Discovery was by far the most disappointing.

One Punch Man

Game of Thrones

Killing Eve

I want to put MTV's The Challenge on the list as it's a different format every season, but at the same time, it did start in 98.

Well, if we're doing that, I'm counting Breaking Bad, too. And It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia as well.

Not going to really come up with a list for the decade, because I'm really bad at that, but I will say The Boys is one of the best shows I've seen in recent years.

I really enjoyed the first 4 seasons of Dexter, at that point it was one of my favorite shows .....ever. But after what happened and the end of the 4th season, I expected it to really take off without his wife to hold him back. Didn't happen, a change of writers perhaps? The show seemed to run out of steam. I'd recommend first 4 seasons to anyone.

They turned it into a show for chicks, making all those romantic things occur. You know he had the same girlfriend/wife for multiple seasons then in the last two seasons he suddenly has two girlfriends. For a certified psychopath with a confessed lack of interest in courtship and sex, he sure seems to be interested in it.

That, and the whole "serial killers are the next evolution of humanity" theory by the psychiatrist was a bit far fetched.

The thing I like about Dexter is it was quirky, dark, funny, heavy, but never preposterous. Like you could totally imagine a guy like Dexter actually being a real person. But then they went kind of "hardcore" with all his inner demons and social life and it was just too much. The world's greatest (in multiple ways) serial killer suddenly gets found out by like five people? WTF is that about.

Ooof, I loved The Boys. Great show, probably the best spin on superhumans out of all the things that try to spin superhumans.

The previews did not do it justice, I was expecting this gorefest (and it had it's moments) but it was actually a really well-rounded show that didn't venture into gore-porn territory.

The Superman-guy was absolutely menacing imo, great antagonist. Can't wait for season two, helluva cliffhanger.

I know, right? I'm actually in the process of reading the graphic novels. I've only read the first omnibus so far, but it's actually a lot gorier in the books, not to mention damn near pornographic. I think the show's done a great job finding that balance, so it's rare that I actually prefer the show to the book.

Side note, the writer of The Boys also did Preacher, and in that instance, the book is far better than the show.

Preacher (the show) is also pretty amazing. I will need to read the comics/graphic novels for both those adaptations at some point.

I am so conflicted if I should put game of thrones or not. I love season 1-4 and some part of 5. But after the series started to go downhill I don't think about it being the best show anymore. Anyhow in order,

  1. Mr Robot
  2. Dark
  3. Attack on Titan
  4. Black Mirror
  5. Daredevil
  6. Westworld
  7. The Boys
  8. Hunter X Hunter
  9. One Punch Man
  10. Stranger Things
