topic title says it all what are the chances of someone actually getting caught illegally downloading things. My DAd knows i download stuff illegally but he always tells me to cut back cause he knowsi am gonna get caght but i have friends who download far more suff then me andnever get caught so what are the chances of the police actually rolling up to my door and...oh crap...they're here!! :o haha jk bout the last part but seriously.
I've been caught like four times, but all that ended up happening was an email with a warning.
I avoid extremely popular torrents since those seem to be the ones that are watched. Better to download a slower torrent than lose my internet and have to pay a fine.

Seriously though, if you had software or music, im' sure you would want people to pay for it so you can profit for your hard work. Not telling you to stop though, it's obviously not my place to do that. :P
Fair. They could start cracking down at any time... or they could make you one of their random picks. Know what the people getting caught so far were saying to themselves?
Most of the people that do get caught are the ones operating pirating rings (i.e. The people who are distributing something popular), the chances of someone being caught for downloading a couple of songs though is about .01%
