I've heard many different answers.

Personally, I think they're dogs.

I really hated the animaniacs and anything from Warner bros cartoons. anyway, I dont think that they are any real specie...I think that the "anima" from their names is actually from "animated" and not "animals"

I agree WB cartoons were the worst of the era. The Tick was particularly bad along with that guy with the crazy hair.

I'm talking about actual WB properties. Batman is DC. The order is Nick>Disney>CN>>>>>>>WB.

Well by today's cartoon standards they are masterpieces. Compared to what Nick and Disney was putting out at the time though, they were miles behind. :P

The Tick miles behind Disney and Nick? The Tick was probably one of the most progressive cartoons of the 90's, it had a completely distinct style that hasn't been emulated properly since. SPOON!

Nick (Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, Aaaahhhh Real Monsters, Angry Beavers, Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats) and Disney (Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Tailspin, Darkwing Duck) vs WB (The Tick, Animaniacs, Freakazoid). Yeah, I'd say 'miles behind'. :P
