Has anyone heard of programs that could save a person's vocal cords via recording or sound file and allowing the user to use that copy?

I'm curious due to what that could bring to the table in modding some RPG games. It would definitely help mod some in-game NPC's without actually needing the voice actor behind them.

an individuals personal vocal cords patterns would be prohibitively complex to get translated into a program.

then there is inflection, breath volume, emotional content, accent, the diameters of sound producing areas like sinus passages and wahtnot and a whole host of other things that make people sound in the unique way that they sound.

maybe someday but mos def not right now.
