Could you guys help me find a good source for these? I found a good ringer via my phone's ringtone store, but I couldn't find a good video game themed text tone on there. I was kinda hoping for something like Ryu's "Hadouken!" or the puzzle solved sound effect from Zelda or other similar things. Anyway, I have no experience in searching for cell phone tones on the internet and I don't want to run into a Jamster type thing that'll jack up my phone bill. Thanks in advance for taking the trouble to help a stranger.

Nah, they had Zelda themes, and I love the soundtrack from the whole series, but I'm looking more for short sound effects like "Hadouken!" and the Zelda sound effect I mentioned in my first post because I'm looking for a tone for my text message (the stuff my phone came with is boring and generic). Thanks, though :)

iTunes is a good place to look, assuming you can get the clip on your phone (pretty sure the files are DRM free) I've found many game related text tones, mostly Mario and Zelda.

The only other thing I can think of is downloading soundboards if you have a smart phone. My sister has a zleda soundboard with the sound you mentioned but I honestly don't know anything about them :P If you have a smartphone perhaps check the Android marketplace or the app store w/e it is :P You may find something there! :)

Why not make your own, especially if the game is a PC game? The sound files can be converted to a format your phone uses. If you have an Andriod based phone, then RingDroid will help make the ringtone and put it where you want it.

Zelda's not a PC series and it's too late in my time zone to go out and pick up a PC copy of a Street Fighter game right now :-/

I wouldn't buy a PC game hoping I could somehow convert a music file into a ringtone. That sounds ridiculous. Why not just google "hadouken ringtone" instead?...

Just do it with games you already own. I use RSE's "files downloaded" from Rainbow Six in a female voice as the ringtone for text messages and email on my phone.

I know there are many efficient ways to do it, but worst comes to worst, i would find someone playing the game on youtube, isolate the sound and use that. Pretty barbaric but at least you will get what you want.

Here's a youtube link to hadouken. It's easy to convert youtube videos to mp3.
