Is there any tv shows you find comforting it could be due to nostalgia or maybe just the setting of the show in general I have a couple.

For me it's some of these shows.

  • Twilight Zone 2002-2003 I never thought I be nostalgia for the early 00's especially anything after 9/11 everything felt so dark and depressing. But putting that aside the early 00's still felt for the most part like late 90's culture from music to clothes the show had some good episodes. I will take this version of the TZ over the 2019 version anyday .
  • Tru Calling 2003-05 another show from that timeline that I find relaxing it's a simple show that is easy digestible that has a groundhog day effect which I always enjoyed in tv or movies.

Battlestar Galactica. It wasn't comforting until the end, but when you finally understand, it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Good or bad, all things will end, and then start again. All this has happened before, and will happen again.

Also Stargate. It's corny, but good corny. And yet it scratches a lot of other itches, too; drama, comedy, suspense...it's all just satisfying as hell. It's not very risky but still, it's good. Even when the heroes die, they die heroically. And when the villains win, you know it won't last forever.

Oh and Avatar: The Last Airbender. So many good lessons in there, good action, fun characters, and enough serious moments to justify me taking the show somewhat serious lol.

Friends. The show's humor and characters are still funny after all these years.

I miss sitcoms. Sadly, they're a relic of the past. I'm not sure they have a place in today's technology centric society.

I don't think there ever will be a sitcom as good as Seinfeld it was just so relatable and funny so many memorable moments from the soup nazi to Festivus. I use to watch reruns of the show all time but it's hard for me to watch these days because it makes me sad for how much I miss the 90's.

As for general TV, various cooking shows. But in terms of TV Series, there's many. Though, Everwood always comes to mind. Only got 4 seasons before it got cancelled. I wouldn't say it's for everyone but for me, it's very homely and nostalgic.

Found these Asian dramas on Netflix to be super comfy. UK Netflix is that dire just started randomly clicking the foreign stuff. Def gonna be watching more of them.

Very different, which makes them fresh by default. Their's a unwavering optimism to them, emotion is heightened to overwrought levels, costume design is far, far more focused on, the fantasy stuff is presented way different as well. Chinese/Korean mythology stuff.

Much longer as well. We typically do seasons now, 8-12 episodes. These things are like 64 episodes in a row.

Also everyone is very, very attractive. Like they came from some genetically modified lab or something.

Just got done watching Ashes Of Love, It seemed kind of shit at first but when give into the nonsense fun as hell.

weirdly both seinfeld and curb your enthusiasm (both larry david shows) never got any traction in the uk. i mention seinfeld to people over here and get blank looks, yet in america it was huge. it's one of my favourites too
