I know I know, Transformers 2 was bad too, but it wasn't physical torture. It was mental torture.

Physical torture is much worse in my book, and by this I mean Shia Labouf never stopped screaming once in the entire 3 hours. He screamed in Transformers 1 & 2, but literally, every second of screentime in Transformers 3 was Shia Labouf screaming his lungs out.

I was nearly deaf by the end of the film, and what's shocking is that there were kids leaving the theater, saying it was the"best transformers movie" and I was still kinda frozen to my seat by the sheer awfulness of what I just witnessed. Like I couldn't get out of my seat, the movie physically effected me in ways noone should have to experience.

You may think I'm trolling. Some of you may even think Transformers 3 was a good movie. But what I am telling you is true, Transformers 3 is physical torture, and you will get Post-Traumatic Stress or a Seizure by watching it.

Everyone has an opinion, yours is clearly different from mine as I quite liked the movie. It's typical Michael Bay, mindless fun.

MonsterVision

I've had a history of seizures, giving me a heightened risk of having future seizures. Yet i didn't have one watching Transformers 3.

It was a good movie if you like transformers. However if you're not into explosions or transformers, why would you even watch it?

Same... I love the action...

OP... If you went to see Transformers 3 expecting an epic tale of friendship and love... Then it is you with the issue, not the movie.

I feel like you're an alt account of Captain Beer or whatever his username was...

Anyways, I haven't seen the movie, but from what I've heard its one of those movies were you turn you mind off and watch things explode for three hours, I'm up for that sometime.

I just watched it last night and I am inclined to agree. It was the first movie I've seen in a long time where I was just waiting for it to end so I could leave.

Loved the first movie - hated the second movie - didn't see the third movie. I'm sure one of my mates will buy/rent it on DVD and I'll see it then, but I'm not spending 7 bucks on a ticket for it. Not anymore.

I saw it at my local theatre, something new they call Ultra AVX (bigger screen, though not as big as IMAX I think, 7.1 Surround Sound, better projector) and I am not a fan of Transformers... but I have a philosophy. If there's a 3D "event" that you can't experience in your living room, I have to see it. That includes Avatar (again, not a great movie, but it'll be impossible for me to recapture that first viewing experience).

ANYWAY. It was not a bad summer film, my only gripes were they didn't need Shia's job-hunt B-plot (or Shia in general), and Optimus did not shut the hell up the entire movie. The movie would have been a lot better if they shaved like 30-40 minutes off the total runtime. The opening I really liked though, with the footage of the shuttle launch and Kennedy in the Oval Office.

Don't know what you were expecting, Its a Michael Bay film, No matter what you saw in the trailer, there is going to be loud explosions and below average plot. Its supposed to be remembered for its explosions and transforming robots....

O_O Also, you used the word "literal" wrong. There were times when Shia Lebouf wasn't screaming. If you would be so deceitful as to try to convince us that all he was doing was screaming, when he wasn't, can we really trust you to give a fair review of the movie? I don't think, sir. I don't think so. Furthermore, If you think having the privilege to chooses to sit through a movie, that you willingly paid for, is physical torture then you should read an article about waterboarding or stoning or basically anything that involves real, corporeal physical torture. For shame, new user. For shame.

And what's interesting about that, is that I don't remember any of the explosions.

However the Nazi's on a fire falling out of a bunker in Saving Private Ryan, those 2 seconds of footage, I remember.

I was expecting Transformers 3 to be about the Moon! Or something related to the moon!

It had nothing to do with space or anything for that matter. The voices on the robots weren't even dubbed correctly, like Optimus was on the ground helpless but he was saying stuff like "Humans are good!" or something like that.

They stuck Buzz Lightyear in the film and it was like, 2 seconds. The footage of the Moon was like 2 minutes out of 3 hours of a film, and it was ripped straight, and i mean straight out of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

It was rediculous, it was like the end of Transformers 1, but stretched out another 2 1/2 hours. It doesn't work

terrible ending, I like mindless explosions, but they shouldn't disregard the story just to give us on screen set pieces. They really have tarnished what used to a quality (growing up) product.

The beginning of the movie wasn't bad, I thought he had something going. He's finally learning how to establish characters and plot.

Then you get to the hour and a half of non-stop "bay-action" and mindless noise and I got a headache.

If you want action films, there are better ones than any of the three Transformers movies.
