There are at least a few shows that make Breaking Bad look weak by comparison. Don't get me wrong, I really like Breaking Bad but there are many shows that have more substance to them than just being entertaining. The Wire, for example, has tons of valuable lessons on humanity and society. Breaking Bad just hammers in one lesson (bad things happen to "bad people" and people around them) for six seasons. By the end of the show, amongst all the melodrama and thrill sequences I really felt like my suspension of disbelief took one straw to the camel's back too many.
