Looking like the virus doesn’t care about fame. Considering their age, hopefully they come out of this okay.

The announcement came shortly after new travel restrictions were announced and the NBA announced they were suspending future games for the time being.

Yeah it's a lot worse here than what the goverment is saying on their sites. There's 3 confirmed in the next town over but nothing about them on the goverment sites. All news gone from the media sites that did report them. I work at the local pub and people I know, know the infected. So I know it's true. Just gonna keep sanitizing my hands after I serve every customer.

If this was medieval times, be like a million times worse. Been contained in comparison to something like the plague.

True but still it's embarrassing how unprepared this Country has been for this.

Several countries have been downplaying this.

Corona is a very mild disease if you compare it to plague, colera or ebola for example.

I think people are overestimating the physical and mental health of those who have perished to this Corona virus.

Tom Hanks and his wife are going to be fine.

Oh no, this rich couple at a relatively young age with access to incredible healthcare and privelage got sick! What are we going to do!

/sarcasm

In all seriousness, however, if this virus takes Tom Hanks from us, I will go apeshit. Favorite actor ever.

Can you elaborate/explain that?

Yeah, it’s a shame.

The news studio that his wife was being interviewed on had to replace furniture and a couple or more of the staff/presenters had to go into quarantine as well. At least I think that’s what happened. Hoping everyone recovers. I’m more cautious than I was a week ago, that’s for sure.

@PSP107: well it might also be because governments wants to "spread out" the disease so not everybody gets sick at the same time.

But, preventing events with more than 500 people, quarantineing entire countries, people not showing up to work.

Does that happen with the seasonal flu? Not that I'm aware of at least! I think the reason to these strong reactions are because people are scared of dying. But being scared won't solve anything.

Perhaps people are more scared just because there's no vaccine and in most cases there are vaccines available for the seasonal flu.

However, in the end of the day I think people are overreacting about how dangerous this virus is.

Completely, this is complete insanity. Before the virus when Trump killed that Iranian terrorist people were crying WWIII like mad.... Twitter WW3 hysteria for days. I was like wtf this the world we live in now? lmao people now are like indoctrinated, so weak minded its crazy. So its expected a virus outbreak in such a mentally unstable world would make people go bananas.

H1N1 infected over 60 million people in the US alone and killed over 12,400+ confirmed. The real numbers must be higher of course.... and NOBODY GAVE A F. That was 10 years ago of course, different world. While this COVID-19 killed 40 people so far? WTF???? LOL the normal flu which is part of the same family kills insanely way more. Cars kills more. Cancer kills insanely more. Should we hide at home scared that people die? Something that always happened and always will wtf lol

Anyway, not only the hysteria mainstream media are causing is crazy, but they lie about their imaginary vaccine one year from now.
