I like them well enough. I only have the album Mer De Noms, Rose being my favorite song on it. raven_squad
same here, only have mer de noms...although I've heard a few songs from thirteenth step, and the other album, but my fav song would be Orestes. Overall a very good band. Although I prefer Tool. Been listening to them since AEnima. Good stuff.

i think they're overrated like tool. When enough people say 'these people are smart' then more people want to jump on the bandwagon to feel like they are in the know. But I'm probably 'overthinking it'.

Wikipedia says it was formed by him and guitarist Billy Howerdel. Meh, you have to go a bit deeper. Howerdel is a good friend of Keenan, and when he was at his house, he showed him some demo's for "A Perfect Circle" and Keenan was like "Wow, that's super cool, I would like to sing for that kind of music." Howerdel was like "Ok, sexy, I originally wanted a girl singer, but your voice works too." Then the band was "formed." So while Keenan is an original member, the glory should go to Howerdel.

Right, because it can't possibly be that they just like the music, because they're not a band that you like, after all. Nobody here even said anything about them being "smart" so I don't even know where that came from. Here, I could probably do the same thing with any band that you like:

Oh, you're one of those indie people who like stuff just because it's not mainstream. Look at how hip and trendy you are.
