Poll Thor: Ragnarok teaser is now up! What do you think? (22 votes)

Looks Great! 91%
Looks Okay... 5%
Looks like it's gonna suck... 5%

During the first few seconds, we see why he doesn't have Mjolnir during his battle with the Hulk in the arena.

What do you think? Personally, the trailer makes it look interesting, although it almost gives it a Guardians of the Galaxy feeling.

Between this, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man Homecoming, Justice League, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, it's going to be a busy year for comic movies.

This looks like a very fun movie. I'm not sure I got the neon font in the trailer. The punchline at the end was funny. :)

because the 80's. Though it's hard to say if it's just the trailer or if the actual movie will invoke Guardians' shtick.

@Storm_Marine: But the movie isn't set in the 80's is it?

I mean Guardians of the Galaxy has a purpose to its retro theme in that the protagonist listens to that music but here it doesn't seem like it has anything to do with the movie. Maybe I'm mistaken. :P

Looks fucking awesome!

He's a friend from work LOL.

Hela and Skurge looks good and the headpiece for Hela is spot on. Also Hela stopping Mjonir and destroying it means shit just got real. ( I literally said 'Oh shit when Hela destroyed Mjolnir, Didn't see that coming) A nice way to build up the threat of the villains as well. The metal Viking aspects works much better than I thought, I love the helmets and headwear everyone is wearing and Hulk's CGI is ultra damn impressive!

This has Guardians of the (Galaxy) Ragnarok, looks like they're learning a thing or two from Guardians, so this works very well here.

Justice League movie might actually have some stiff competition on its hands after all since both of those movies are gonna release this November, this is gonna be a tight battle for the box office. I'm totally hype for both Justice League & Thor 3.

What I like about the look of this movie is that it seems primarily set in Asgard which will make it visually distinctive. Similar to Guardians of the Galaxy. These movies have more unique settings than other super hero movies. :)

I like the 80's theme they added to the trailer! Also, Hulk in it to coincide w/Planet Hulk? I'll wait and see.

I'm digging it. I also like the feeling that the stakes have been raised--Thor no longer has his hammer, Asgard has fallen...this is the first Thor movie I'm looking forward to seeing.

Aside from Guardians, I've not enjoyed any of the MCU movies, but this has my attention. The trailer gave of a real Guardians vibe, plus having Jeff Goldblum is always a positive.

I think Marvel has made it through the toughest hurdles of the MCU (setting up / introducing the entire universe), and now they can make completely badass films like this. I don't think there's a better time right now to be a fan of comic book movies.

Wow, many votes on looks great. I have to say it does not look as good as when he is with the rest of the crew, but i am going to go see it. It looks interesting to me, as Thor's hammer just got played out by a woman beast. Also he cut his hair, and looks more humanized, if thats even a word. But yes, i'm up for a cool looking movie any day.

Here's my question, if only the "worthy" can lift the hammer is that evil chick actually evil? If she is evil what actually makes a person worthy?

Yep, good question. I have to say maybe she is made from the same source of the hammer ? Nothing like a chick that can handle a hammer, lol ...

In the comics, Hela has all the same attributes as Thor, can kill Gods if near death, can send out death bolts to kill Mortals, has a fatal touch, is control of all spirits in her realm of the dead, and though it is sort of instinctual since she is Thor's niece. (Hela is the Daughter of Loki)

But of course, Hela has tried and failed to destroy the hammer in the comics, so if things are what they seem, she's stronger here. However we don't know the exact context of her destroying the hammer here.

Yeah I too love Karl Urban Dredd cause he played that movie well and live up the Dredd character's respect.

Odin was the one that put the enchantment on the hammer that requires the person to be "worthy" in order to lift it. However, if someone more powerful than Odin comes along, then they can use their strength to overpower the enchantment and pick it up anyway.

Based on that, it's possible that they are saying that Hela is more powerful than Odin in the movie. It wouldn't surprise me if Thanos would have been able to pick it up too while he was wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. Or, the trailer could be misleading us and it could be a dream sequence, or something similar.
