and i shall start by saying my favorite is ATLiens because it is the most consistent and best displays Big Boi and Andre's skills within the framework of conventional rap

plus the hook on the title track is unbeatable

Aquemini. It's at once spiritual, bluesy, and futuristic. It's probably my second or third favorite album in general.

Favorite tracks are: Rosa Parks,Da Art of Storytelling Part II, and Chonkyfire.

By the way, I thought Speakerboxxx/The Love Below was not very good. Speakberboxxx was decent at best and The Love Below was garbage with the exception of a couple tracks.

They need to make another album. It'll give me a reason to listen to rap music again.

Big Boi was talking about another Outkast album coming out in 2012, but obviously that didn't pan out. Hopefully it is slated for this year.

All of them. Andre is such an a-hole. He sucks as an actor, but as outkast he's a god for me. Why doesn't he stop his crappy acting career and go back to making some of the most amazing music ever conceived!?

He claims he's not inspired to make music right now.

Why do you think he's an a-hole?

He's inspired to act. I'm not sure if he noticed that he's not good at that, but making outkast albums. He needs to release another F2$#% album with big boi. I'm annoyed that they haven't released a studio album since 2003 (the movie album doesn't count).

For all we know he might die tomorrow, without another outkast album.

I understand the frustration of not having an OutKast album for such a long time, but I don't want them to force one out if they're not inspired. I'd rather have no OutKast album than one that sucks.

Between Stankonia and Aquemini for me. I'm not a huge fan of them so I've only given listens to their newer material in passing. It doesn't seem like I missed much though.

Aquemini or ATLiens. Outkast is one of those groups that I like despite my general disinterest in rap as a genre. Like most great bands or artists, they transcend their genre's limitations.

NWA was more relevant and important to hip hop, but Outkast makes way WAY better music.

Both Dre and Big Boi are way better rappers than anyone in NWA. I know Eazy is a legend and all, but lets face it his rapping hasn't aged well. Andre 3000 can turn a horrible song like Walk it Out into something really memorable. Dr. Dre's production didn't really come into its prime until after NWA dissolved anyway. IMO he became a truly great producer while working with Snoop.

Eazy-E's rapping definitely hasn't aged well. It's more noticeable for its personality than its technical competence. His rapping is actually pretty clunky and basic.

And yeah, Andre 3000 was the only good thing about Walk It Out. It's weird tho. He's been doing a whole lot of work with pretty bad artists. Maybe he's trying to stay in the public to set the stage for a solo album. One can only hope.

And I totally agree about Dre's production. I would actually extend the same statement to hip hop/rap in general. Its sound didn't really blossom until the mid 90s IMO and that blossoming started about 92 or 93.
