In the Western Hemisphere social media is going downwards trend. Especially with the privacy issues and cyberattacks. What is after social media? Or will social media keep evolving with new features and more security measures and entering a brand new phase of social media?
Loving the Facebook hate. I deleted my account as much as it's possible to do so only last week in fact but I hadn't posted for about 3 years.
It is and remains a hot or not website for idiots.
It just got weird when mums and dads figured it out to spy on their kids.
Yeah I feel like I should delete my account too, but I've been with it since the beginning (when it was for college students to network through) and there's a lot of old pictures and shit.
I think my last post was in 2016 or something. Long time ago. Tired of seeing everyone's ugly ass babies (I'm sorry, I love kids, but infants are fugly little critters I barely consider human) and reading posts like "Woke up today. Sun was shining. Loves me some sun" it's like WHO THE FRACK CARES!!!?!?!?!?!
@watercrack445: I don't like FB because it is too nosy and demanding and it is just not 'cool'.
MySpace was where it's at because it was kind of about music and finding out about new bands, but you could fully customise it with html.
Facebook feels very bland and generic and you can't really express yourself because you are addressing your extended family and every single person you have ever met, potentially.
But really you have no idea who will see your posts. It's a totally mystery to me who actually had my posts pop up on their feeds.
Gave up on making real friends already, which sort of culminated with me deleting Facebook, which I barely had anyone on. I also haven't renewed my prepaid phone plan in like seven months. I'm just done. I'll talk with people a little at work, but that's it.
