  1. The Secret Life of Pets 2: $47.1 Million (new release)
  2. Dark Phoenix: $33.0 Million (new release)
  3. Aladdin: $24.5 Million
  4. Godzilla: King of the Monsters: $15.5 Million
  5. Rocketman: $14.0 Million
  6. Ma: $7.8 Million
  7. John Wick 3: $7.4 Million
  8. Avengers: Endgame: $4.8 Million
  9. Pokemon Detective Pikachu: $2.9 Million
  10. Booksmart: $1.5 Million

I was shock seeing Secret life of Pets 2 flop that bad and the first film did awesome opening $104 Million back in 2016, didn't expect this to do bad for a kids film. Dark Phoenix was expected to do worst and taking $33.0 Million was no one's surprise. Didn't see anything this weekend because E3 2019 has started.

June 7-9 mojo's box office weekend

Said to mate a while back Dark Phoenix would suck.

Seen the trailer and seen Sophie Turner was the main villain and new it wouldn't work

After seeing Dark Phoenix crash and burn like this makes me wonder if they're going to release The New Mutants or just shelve it altogether.

I saw the trailer for Booksmart and found it unfunny. It was Olivia Wilde's directorial debut. Maybe it was just that moment in time that was wrong for me to like it. Hah.

@thehig1: she wasn't the villain. She was the hero.

Enough X-Men. Let the series rest for like a decade (never gonna happen) and then bring it back. Before a new X-Men films comes out I always joke with my brother: "I wonder in this movie if Magneto starts as bad guy and ends up helping the X-Men or starts being "a good guy" and ends up betraying the X-Men. Always the same shit. Give it a rest.

Even I'm a grown-up, I'd like movies like Secret Life of Pets.

Hmm, have people finally had enough X-Men, what a surprise.

But decent for Secret life of pets, not as good as they could have hoped but considering they are up against X-men then it´s not as bad as it could have been.
