Browsing many forums and listening to people in school, why does a majority of people say "That's mines" instead of "That's mine". It just doesn't sound right and I see it so much. I'm not even a grammar Nazi but it bother the **** out of me.

What common grammar mistakes make you mad? >(

Well if one thing is mine, then multiple things are mines. Makes perfect sense. :P

It could just be a typo...E is close to S on the keyboard...

It could also be the interent... were words like "lawlz" and "breh" are used commonly...

Whenever I see people mix up "women" and "woman," I kick a newborn puppy.

I hate it when people use "quote" as a noun. I know almost everyone does it but I still throw up in my mouth whenever I hear it. Also: "I'm done" vs "I'm finished" Food is done, people are finished. I hope none of you are done.

Almost everyone does it because it's perfectly accepted English. :P

It is perfectly accepted (even by some college professors / academics) but it's still incorrect.:x
