The *NEW* way users level up.

What do you guys think of the new way us Gamespot users level up. They just switched it a few days ago. I personally like the old way better. But at least they starting to make some changes to Glichspot.

"As with before, there is a daily cap of 2500 XP, but we've completely redone how other XP is earned so that user actions directly contribute to user level":

• Visiting a GameSpot.com page while logged in: 500 XP (can be earned once a day)
• Commenting on a story: 20 XP
• Posting in a forum thread: 20 XP
• Creating a new comment thread: 30 XP
• Posting a user blog: 100 XP
• Earning an emblem/achievement: 50 XP
• Rating a game: 10 XP
• Following a game: 10 XP
• Being followed by another user: 100 XP

• Posting in a forum thread: 20 XP

user's "leveling up" was silly then, but now I'm going to take it like totally seriously.

someadose seem not balanced.
maybe too many points for posting, not enough for an emblem (unless those are using the ones people can link to their video games ones), and maybe blogs would be exploiiitable.

but seems good, to get people to do stuff if they want.

How much is 2500 exp in terms of percent.

Sounds pretty good. It looks like people will level up much quicker now.

It would be nice to see how much EXP you need per level too.

A few site features need it (posting reviews, making new threads on system wars, posting in the after hours). They are pretty low levels though.

Mostly it's about bragging rights and how much you browse gamespot.

Sounds pretty good. It looks like people will level up much quicker now.

It would be nice to see how much EXP you need per level too.
