I've been following Giantbomb.com since their blog site launched, knowing the beta site is about to launch in just a few hours is really exciting. These guys really know video games, the weekly podcasts are fun to listen too, and their E3 coverage was top notch. I've been a Gamespot member for 5 years now and have restrcited myself to only this site for my main source of video game reviews...not anymore. I hope to see other GS users on the other side, Gamespot has lost its touch, go to a site that is driven by actual gamers and not corporate big shots.

Don't forget, you'll be able to edit and add to all of these things!
And of course, we'll have message boards. Tens of thousands of message boards! Way too many message boards! Everything from the PlayStation 3 to hamburgers will have a message board associated with it. In fact, every single page in the database, including consoles, franchises, games, objects, characters, people, and concepts will all have a friendly message board right at the bottom. But don't worry about getting lost or missing out on a conversation. Messages from all boards are easily found in our forum index.
Then there's the same ****of award-winning* editorial content from myself, Ryan, Brad, and Vinny. With the site up and running, we'll have even more time to provide reviews, commentary, and previews of the games you care about. Or, at least, the games _we_ care about.

Look, I could go on all day about this stuff, but I'll save some of it for the welcome letter that you'll find on giantbomb.com once we've launched. Thanks for taking an interest in us, and we think you'll go totally nuts when you see what we've been working on. I know we're all going totally nuts thinking about what you'll do with it once it's available.
If they plan on the site being up at midnight PST, I expect it to be up no less than 15 minutes late. Come on, it's the old Gamespot guys. They are always late. Fashionably late.
Hmm...it's 8:49pm right now in California (that's where they are, right?), so it'd make sense for a midnight launch. Although that's cutting it a little short since they only sent out the e-mails recently...

i couldnt careless about jeff, i never really liked the guy when he was on gamespot, he kind of urked me and hes kinda gross looking. but when he left, the whole cool part of gamespots staff left too and i like the giant bomb site as it has been, very honest and blunt, very unlike gamespot.
jeff was a terrible reviewer, and big woop over giant bomb. I just go to like 4 different sites for a wide variety of opinions for news and reviews. pretty bad to go to a single site for reviews and news.
in fact, jeff said halo wars will be better than starcraft 2. lol 360 bias much?

He may be right. If I said Starcraft 2 will be better than Halo Wars, am I PC biased? Game review sites are all just means of staying informed on the happenings of the gaming world, you don't need to listen to the editorials and reviews. The best place to get reviews is metacritic.
