Hello, Batfans. After viewing the fourth incredible trailer for this movie, I figured it was time to create an information thread about The Dark Knight Rises. Let the countdown begin, with one month left. So let's talk about this soon to be epic movie. Are you excited? Feeling kinda meh about this? What do you think about the new characters? I was about to go into your first thread but was locked out.... Good to see a new thread.

I watched The Dark Knight last night and will watch Batman Begins today, can't wait for this one. Also, can't wait to see what Nolan does with Superman, but that's another thread.:P

Huge Batman fan but I'm not too fond of Nolan's adaptations or his films in general...but I'm still hyped for this.

I voted for Christian Bale because he's the best choice out of the ones listed. However, I think that Christian Bale makes a good Batman, but not the best Bruce Wayne because I always picture Bruce Wayne as a man with more of a Nordic appearance (albeit with dark colored hair); Bale, nor any of the other actors have the look.

I'm TOO excited for this movie. I downloaded the third and fourth trailers onto my Zune and I keep watching them over and over. Every time I do, I get more and more pumped for it. It seems that it will be more epic in regard to scope and more emotional than the last two. Also, Tom Hardy's portrayal as Bane seems that it will be - at the very least - equal to Ledger's performance as the Joker.

[spoiler] In the fourth trailer, Bane is shown walking while holding a portion of Batman's broken mask. How do you think he broke Batman's mask like that? Seems like he must have seriously hurt Batman. [/spoiler]

• I strongly believe that Bane will keep Batman/ Bruce Wayne imprisoned after seriously injuring him (recall the scene in the trailers in which Bruce is lying down and asks Bane "Why didn't you just kill me?")Perhaps this man is a fellow prisoner.

Kevin Conroy is the true Batman. Christian Bale sounds like Cookie Monster and TDK is pretentious and self-congratulatory. Still better than most comic book movies but perhaps the most vastly overrated film ever made.famicommander

Yea, the neck on the first suit makes him look more brutish and intimidating. Also, the first suit is more in-line with the traditional batsuit because it has a cowl.

Possible spoiler [spoiler] . I'm beginning to think we have seen the final shot of the movie, just like TDK showed the final shot of Batman riding away in most previews. The shot of Batman on top of the bridge seems like a perfect way to end the series, a scene of optimism, with Gotham's protector watching over the city. [/spoiler] Travo_basic

It was hard for me to choose between Michael Keaton and Christian Bale. I went with Bale though, his Batman is more realistic and grittier than Keaton's IMO.
