I just watched the Clone Wars movie and now i have started watching the series. I am very impressed and actually like this much better than the last three Star Wars movies. I know the series takes place between the second and third movie. I am a little confused about the actual background story concerning the clones, the robot army, Count Duku and the senator. Actually, just what the conflict between the separatists and the Republic is about any way? Is the story that deep or is is just muddled and hard to follow. The movies were confusing to me anyway. Any help with the details would be appreciated.

I really would like to watch the ORIGINAL animated clone wars series that was on when I was a kid.
You know the series by the creator of Samurai Jack and Powerpuff girls?
I would pay a lot of money to see those again!
