Tacos or Burritos?

Tacos give you the crunch..

I love both, but enchiladas are the best! Between tacos and burritos though... probably burritos. Mexican food. <3

You know those choices that seems to be like choosing between cancer and AIDS?

Well, this is the mirror opposite of that for me. Love them both, so why must you make me choose?! But if I absolutely, positively had to, gaaahhhhhh... ...Tacos. But only just. By a hair's breadth.

Enchiladas with pineapple, beans and chicken are the best. Followed by soft mince tacos. We don't have real Mexican in Australia.

Cajun chicken, black beans, queso-fresco cheese, tomatoes, onions, green and chili peppers.

Burritos. Load that shit up baby

Not very imaginative, but it takes good.

I used to be all about burritos, but a good soft street taco is one of the best things in the world.

Warm griddled tortillas, cheap cuts of tasty meat (I'm a fan of carnitas myself), with cilantro and onion. Put a bit of salsa on there and you are good.

Can eat like a million of them.

Taco mince is great with plain 2 min noodles.

Love both but if I had to make a choice it would be tacos, soft shell.

They both give me gas. But, I prefer a burrito bowl.

@mandzilla: Yeah man, I'm a chicken guy too. I enjoy beef/pork but chicken has that neutral flavour that isn't very overpowering. So it's good accompanied with some pico de gallo and things like that.

Tacos. Not a yuuuge burrito fan, but I'll eat them sometimes.

@npiet1: Guzman Y Gomez or Mad Mex is kind of the best thing a part from homemade stuff if you know what you're doing. Lol I find Guzman Y Gomez pretty bland though. The burrito wraps are good.

@speeny: yeah the problem is the closest Mexican place is 4 hours away from me.

A bit of a late reply. Busybusybusy.

I'm a somewhat minimalistic type. Give me simple meat, some salsa, and maybe a little cheese (just a tad, not too much) and I'm happy.

Burritos. It's all the same shit you get in your tacos but I feel you get more for your buck and it's wrapped in a nice tidy package that doesn't fall apart on you.

Fillings being carnitas or carne asada and everything else you got including sour cream and guacamole.

It depend on who make. Taco it depend on shell. Not to be too much crunch but not too chewy because otherwise it make mess or it like you chewing on a dog bone. For burrito it depend on who wrap it. Some know how, some do not.

It is nice street food. Too much carb tho it not so good and make you tire. I much prefer nice polish sausage. Less carb more energy. Shhh but sometime it just have the sausage with kraut and shot of vodka on the side but just to go with it tradition.

Tacos. Especially with monterey jack (don't understand why people use cheddar). Hard shell or GTFO.

Burritos tacos cause too much mess.

This poll needs a both option.

@heathen75: That's something I didn't consider. It's very handy that the fillings don't fall out everywhere in a burrito. It's always kind of shit when you have to resort to eating something with a fork that you were supposed to be eating with your hands.

Meh....the ingredients in both can vary so much that it really just comes down to what each are filled with.

There's a place in my town that does some amazing burrito bowls and burritos with steak, chicken, pork etc. On the other hand there are some great artisan tacos out there filled with pork or beef. I guess it just depends on how I'm feeling at the time.

Burritos tend not to be that good. I know they can be, but Taco's are just the best, go anywhere, the street tacos, tacobell, your mom's house, etc.

@speeny: You fiend! I'd say burritos simply because bacon and egg burritos are a thing.

Beef, pork, chicken... all good stuff. :) Hmm cool, the pico de gallo is a nice touch!

@mandzilla: I even don't mind fish burritos/tacos. Although a fish burrito is more uncommon. I think at this one chain place here they use Barramundi.

@speeny: Woah, fish burrito? I've never even considered that before but now you've got me curious.

@mandzilla: Also, instead of pico de gallo, you should try pineapple salsa. It's basically pineapples, lime juice, jalapeno, and some cilantro & red onion. Very good.

Depends on where I am getting them from. I like tacos when I'm at a nicer restaurant. Burritos are good for on the go, but generally they're less consistent and less good.

Does the sweetness of the pineapple overpower the chicken/beans?

@PSP107: For the beans yeah, I only eat them because their healthy but not the chicken. It adds to the flavour.

Pineapple is also a source of acid, and acid helps increase flavors in many foods.

Tacos edge out burritos......

Burritos. I hate when the hard shells crack, then everything falls out. Plus burritos you can stuff full of cheese, sour cream, salsa and guacamole.

Though this place in Nor Cal has some of the best lengua tacos in existence. There’s nothing tastier than beef tongue tacos.

Tacos definatly. the soft ones can be like mini burritos and the hard ones can be inside out nachos

burritos are packed with everything a taco couldn't hold!
